If I'm not mistaken, Japanese-made Fenders used to be made at the Fujigen factory, so there's not much surprise about the quality of craftsmanship. I absolutely live how it looks: deep blue body with a black pickguard and all maple neck - *chef's kiss*

I have the non-dark evo version of this bass. Same thing with Seymour Duncan picks and slightly different finish. Best neck of any bass I've owned. You will not be disappointed picking up one of these. The "Mighty Jazz" name is super appropriate in this case. FGN makes amazing instruments, especially considering the price point.

Great bass and grrrrrrrreat bassplayer, i had the honor to meet Frank a couple of years ago ... such a handsome guy! The bass would look way more better without the pickguard and active pickups with passive electronics is the best!

Beautiful, just an absolutely beautiful bass. It kind of looks like a jazz bass on steroids. That little bit at 2:05 made me think about the opening bass line from "Would" by Alice in Chains.

1300€ is "medium priced"? Isn't that usually the ceiling for the standard series of basses with everything above being a luxury category like Signature/Premium/Custom Shop? I'd put "medium priced" at 600 - 800€.
Agreed. “Medium” is about $1200 for me.
I don’t see the point. Considering that high end instrument can start from above 2000€ (WAY above, usually), 1000 to 1500 IS medium price range. If you believe this bass is expensive, it’s totally legitimate, but 600-800 is definitely low price range. That doesn’t relate to quality, which is a different topic.
@@sliverhandsonbasses It's similar to cars: A luxury sports car can be very expensive, but if I were to try and calculate the average price of a car, I simply wouldn't be factoring in a golden Lamborghini driving through Dubai. When looking for average/medium, I would always remove the outliers. Now if you were to claim "the average bassists does own basses for 2000€ and above", I'd be surprised, but I've no way of confirming or denying that.
I don't personally consider 1300€+ basses luxurious. This category starts way further up.
Basses seem to be cheaper in the US as well.
Yeah I got a version of that dual coil well technically triple coil EMG years ago that I put in a it was called a let's see anyways it was some knock off music man bass thing that somebody gave me and I put that pickup and it cost me $120 and it's a badass pickup! If it's the same pickup I have mine is a stacked single coil on the backside with the pot pulled up and with the pot down is traditional dual coil
