Cool gun. The march does look silly but it also looks extremely tiring. It must be hard to do that constantly. I mean look how high they light their legs. lol
Some interesting hardware... I like the self-propelled carriage and the shell handling system. It'd be interesting to see them do a proper deployment and 15 round barrage in quick-time battle conditions without all the ceremonial stuff....
Just to check I watched a US 155mm battery in action in Afghanistan on You Tube and despite not having the Commonwealth drill discipline they were extremely good and there was nothing wrong with their fire and control discipline. every man knew what he had to do and there were no errors. The fire rate was fascinating

What's with all the hate over the flamboyant drill? Western armies have a certain philosophy behind their drill, and other armies do not need to share that philosophy for their drill to be just as valid. Stefan B That's because you don't understand what they're doing. It's a ceremonial, pride, and tradition thing. You do know the British influence a lot of what the Indian Army does don't you???
jamil singh No, that's your brothers...
nice to see this video here.. I visited this event in Nashik Arty camp in year 2012-13 . It was turning point in my life to join Indian armed forces.
ohh man.....i was there too, at the time of event
same
Nice dance boys, I hope ya'll don't do that in real world combat.
of course they don't lol
Now I know that the Ministry of Silly Walk is does exist in India.
its obviously part of ministry of defence hahaha
A lot many things do exist in India dude culture is on the top of that. Do you asshole mind that!

Kick ass artillery piece but I hardly payed attention to it cause I am laughing so damn hard at those guys! LMFAO they look like damn chickens, WTF kind of military has their men perform that way?!? I can't stop laughing!
type on youtube ( war in kargil) see the indian army action then u will stop laughing dude dont make a joke heroes.
CAPTAIN SYRIAN FORCE
tu es hors sujet.
there are definitely some strange military customs... if you look it up im pretty sure it was the indians that were in the first atomic war on the planet ... take it as you will. but there is evidence to support the theory that atomic weapons were used on this planet before we had the technology ourselves...
andre istre I know exactly what your talking about. I think that theory is true

Cool gun. The march does look silly but it also looks extremely tiring. It must be hard to do that constantly. I mean look how high they light their legs. lol
bruh the amount of people that their march is funny, it's just for the show normally they would just run to load the gun.
Big salute to all the Indian solders 🙏🙏🙏
Some interesting hardware... I like the self-propelled carriage and the shell handling system. It'd be interesting to see them do a proper deployment and 15 round barrage in quick-time battle conditions without all the ceremonial stuff....
Why the FU*K are they walking like that? LLOOLL
They just want to show that war can be fun.
did u even read the video description?????
Why bother ,Its funny.
their are just performance guys...not normally soldiers...
workout...:)
Why do they march like that?
you mean why the jump? I don know but it sure looks funny :D
Not just that, they clutch their arms tightly to their chest too. Wtf I've never seen any military like this. Looks retarded quite honestly.
just a show walk... not a more..
,
It is just for demonstration. !st 39th FA Canmp stanley Korea, 1st 73 th FA ft Bragg NC. and some.
davinci shah the Italian army and the europe, do not jump when parading
Excellent gun. This helped us win war in kargil
Just to check I watched a US 155mm battery in action in Afghanistan on You Tube and despite not having the Commonwealth drill discipline they were extremely good and there was nothing wrong with their fire and control discipline. every man knew what he had to do and there were no errors. The fire rate was fascinating
"they" who they? do you realize how badly have you written this sentence? this is what they actually teach as an example of bad setence during GMAT and GRE preparation. Floating pronouns.
Looks like a powerful war tool, especially the fast loader system.
at least in battle the enemy will have laugh seeing them march like this hahaha
bruh the amount of people that their march is funny, it's just for the show normally they would just run to load the gun.
8 minutes and a handful of dancers for one shot. At the same time, the Bundeswehr with the self-propelled howitzer 2000 would have already dug up the entire terrain twice.
bruh the amount of people that their march is funny, it's just for the show normally they would just run to load the gun.
Will these jumping jacks also jump in a real war ? Looks like a Bollywood dance movie.
this is demonstration, the marching tradition is basically from colonial india
it's a exhibition. to show the moves they March like this
+am am yeah they really get carried away on the boarder with pakistan
Michael Achenbach ok then lets have a war with India (fourth powerful country of world) and see are they jumb or blast your ass
I doubt it. they couldn't defeat Pakistan another country Full of Idiots and Stupid marches.
monty python would be proud of these guys
why do the indians have to do hip hop dance moves?
I came for the gun. I stayed for the dancing. 💃
as a us artillery man that's a neat set up and the fact they managed to nail the target with no sighting poles is awesome
It's just nice to see that someone actually knows the difference between a demonstration and an actual serious war scenerio among this lot of idiots. :)
It's just nice to see that someone actually knows the difference between a demonstration and an actual serious war scenerio among this lot of idiots. :)
finally someone whos got some brains
is everyone in your country fucking retarded ? teach em a thing or two
thank you for your service
Cal Halpin maybe it was Pre Sighted sir?
As American, I'm kinda shocked that we don't have a system like that in our military.
We do. We have much better. We could launch a thing as big as that entire gun and level an entire city. This thing cant take out aircraft either, and we have many AA guns that are of this caliber (not literally) that could do a lot of damage to infantry and vehicles.
Yes, even the Indian army has anti aircraft guns. This so called "funny" movement you see here while loading the Bofors is just for show. While on the battlefield, this does not apply !! Run, load and fire !!
Inquisition Ryobi why do you have to mention anti air weapon systems, this is a howitzer which no howitzer is intended to shoot aerial targets
Cos your soldiers are too fat.
@@tjackman You've listed a range of completely different pieces of equipment. x
in actual combat operations do they really have to move like that? i mean seriously they look stupid .. please don't do that or else ur enemies will die from laughing watching you from afar!
No they don't.
River Tam hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahaha indian army is the BEEEEEEEEST EVER at movements
River Tam please search on RUclips about kargil war i am shure that you wil sort out the difference between drill and war condition
do some research before you make yourself look ignorant
the point is they really look stupid and funny with that drill and what's the point of doing that stupid drill when they don't even use it in actual combat operation.. LMAO!
guys at the frontline: where's the fire support
fire support team: we haven't finish skipping yet.
The soldiers were made by Boston Dynamics
What's with all the hate over the flamboyant drill? Western armies have a certain philosophy behind their drill, and other armies do not need to share that philosophy for their drill to be just as valid. Indian drill seems to me to emphasize physical vigour and panache; Western drill usually emphasizes steadiness and iron discipline. To each their own.
Oh and of course the gun is absolutely AMAZING, is that how you launched the probe to Mars because that machine is more SPACESHIP than artillery!!
Awesome post
Meh. It gives some fabulous work out I'd imagine.
The ministry for silly walks.
Greetings from Sweden!
Now we have the Archer!

Теперь я понял почему украицы скакали на майдане. К войне готовились.
Why the elaborate drama before firing the weapon?
This is know the military as the "Dog and Pony show"
Getting paid so you need to do some drama afterall .you are giving salery to a 9 people crew .when gun only needs 3 .
Rajesh Singh I guess people like you have never heard about drills since the only military action you see is on RUclips lol keyboard soldiers like you can only ask stupid questions

@@Bill-xx2yh Trillion is too big. Artillery only cost in millions. And your joke was bad. But the video is funny. I am still laughing.
I imagine in a real combat situation, they could deploy the piece quite quickly and without all of that prancing jackassery. All the
"dog and pony" stuff is for show.

And the show is hilarious! Was there a military coup in India I am unaware of? And the military banned all comedy shows and decided to take the matter into its own hands?
@@SashoSpasoski This is part of regular military fairs that the army organizes to make kids interested in joining the army. We used to go in such fairs as school kids to see all the cool looking army equipments. It is not meant to be taken seriously.
yea it takes two minutes to set it up without doing the frikin chicken.
With all that prancing around, I could see why they'd want their shell lift for "minimum physical effort". That prancy dancy stuff is hilarious. Those doods need to update their procedures.
Do they use Morris dancers as the gun crew? LOL
Man ...even professional dancers are not so wel synchronized . ..lol
I drove a field artillery major in Germany, and I have seen SP and set piece firing missions dozens of times. This is,, without a doubt, the single most hilarious drills I’ve EVER seen. They are a great team, and also no doubt one cool weapon system. What’s hilarious is the way the gunners prance around like show horses. Props to the team, all around, its just still hilarious the way they,,,” march ?”
Would someone tell WHY they drill like that? I mean, isn’t that MORE unsafe?
What do u think about this gun ,do u know this gun made a world record by firing 47 km away, but after that a is gun broke that record
Watch your mouth you coomer. This is a 250 year old commownwealth drill introduced into the british indian army and carrued on as a legacy to this date. If you doubt their capabilities then look up their feats in both world wars as well as india pakistan and sino indian wars
I think they do that because it's an ceremony type shit
I think it's more like ceremonial thing from British Indian Army era.
In India specially in military we r reluctant to leave some of the old fashioned things.. U would find reminence of it in training and selection procedure too.
I would be cracking if i was a Sniper in a war agaisnt India i wouldn't know if shoot or just enjoy the marching show lmao.
+Greyhound
You would be nasty like british snipers in the Falklands war and take out someone in a special position so that their whole show suddenly breaks down into confusion and chaos.
The brit snipers in the Falklands would target the argentinians when they lined up for chow, and kill the last man in the line. Which of course meant that no one wanted to be the last man in line, and so the last man would fight not to be last and the whole chow line broke into a brawl....
the guns are usually far away from the front ....
a sniper must come all the way
bruh the amount of people that their march is funny, it's just for the show normally they would just run to load the gun.
