Dear Ijeawele is one of the best thing I have ever read....Loved it !!! Keep it up Chimamanda ji, the world needs you...The world needs your work - 'Dear Ijeawele'...
i love how chimamanda stands with integrity in her own convictions. she embodies what she preaches completely and that is to be admired inspite of your politics
Is something wrong with me? I am 57 years old, male, white and when I hear Miss Adichie talk, I agree practically to all she says. It is reasonable and without a doubt the right way to come along with each other. I only wished there were more people in this world who would listen.
Before discovering Chimamanda Adichie, I did sometimes wonder whether I was imaging the stuff regarding gender inequality, but she articulates just how real they all were/are. And she does so in a way that's clear and undeniable. I LOVE THIS WOMAN'S MIND!!
This woman is strong. Look at the pressure? Must we all see things the same way? This is why Africa is always excluded. So many Western people cannot see that our experiences are not necessarily the same.
I honestly feel that the interviewer and the broader public REFUSE TO UNDERSTAND her. They simply don't want to accept her stance on many issues. Note Especially the opening statement where the interviewer claimed she apologized for her previous transgender remarks, which she did not.
MaiWanders ... MalWanders...very perceptive of you...pls.. remember 🔷Truth and stamina has it own rewards..and is ultimately undeniable... Beloved Chimamanda is a force!!🥰✨
Listening to you has really shaped my perception about women and you have indoctrinated me to believe that both men and women should be treated equal in all spheres of life. However, what about the issue of payment of bride price which is mostly performed by men in marriage because the bride price could be a factor as to why men carry their shoulders so high and see themselves as never to be equal to women especially in the context of Africa.
Chimamanda your brilliance 💎eloquence Clarity and beauty are gifts that empower us all....those who choose to be non appreciative And leave them at the table... woe unto them.. Your abilities humor depth Is and timing are spot on!!!... it undeniable...✨❤️... I Thank You🧚🏿♀️
Thank you Chima for the education about feminism. I think I understand clearly what you mean and I hope to live by some of it as an African male living in Africa.
yes, i i loved the fact that the she shows how strong we are. I have a finace who haves a fragile ego an is demands me to coward down to him i do at times but its against my nature. The women in my family are dominate and out weight the men 99/1 ratio i told him i was born this way .
Chimamanda making me so proud to be an African woman! This is who we are. She has expressed herself immaculately under all so much pressure.
I love Chimamanda. She knows what she believes, and was so consistent in all her responses.

Funny thing that people say feminists are just angry, but there was so much laughter in this room

Indeed the interviewer started with a prejudice and had a train of thought she wanted Chimamanda to adopt

Honey I hope you NEVER EVER remove or feel the need to remove jewels from your own crown in order to accomodate anyone.
@@nonhlanhlasibiya6545 If you have to 'dummy down or make yourself lesser than to make a man/woman, anyone feels greater than', it will never work!
