Oh wow... jusr wonderful. Yokley never disappoints and great to see him mastering his own creation. Everyone - as usual - is beyond wonderful, each solo clearly shows their individual talents. As I'm besotted with Jazz Piano I especially shout out to Shingo Kano - you Sir, take me to the clouds, and I am in awe of your talents. Much thanks to everyone!
Appreciate the detailed and wonderful compliment! We all had a great time performing and needless to say, Shingo and Darryl delivered the NY vibe through their performance! (Darryl is based in NY and Shingo used to live in NY for a few years during his career.) We hope you enjoy our upcoming videos too! Greetings from Osaka, Japan!
I wish this channel many subscribers. This unique American musical idiom is now world wide as all good forms should be enjoyed. A Mexican professor visiting Tucson Arizona U.S.A. I took him to our yearly Marachi Music Festival with music groups from all over. He broke out laughing joyously at the blonde blue eyed group from Scandanavia. "Swedish Mariachis!", he laughed. Jazz seems to use the American styles and techniques. That kind of misses the point. It evolved from native influences over time and locations. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of sn old vinyl LP titled Music For Zen Meditation. The title wss just to sell the record and had nothing to do with the content. An American musician had convinced several traditional Japanese musicians to meet at a recording studio and improvise making possibibly the first jazz recording using native Japanese music idioms and techniques. Wonderfully unique. I hope others follow that trail.
Appreciate the detailed comment! We're happy to be able to share our music with the world via RUclips and hope that our jazz that has been influenced and evolved in Japan will be another new form of art to music lovers. We hope you enjoy our other videos too! Greetings from Osaka, Japan!
