She has the most important requirement to be a crew member a dream. And that dream is to see the world free
My take is that she's a kid, so she has time to find her real dream. The point of her character and devil fruit is to emphasize the limitless potential of youth. She can have any dream she wants at this point in her life. And the Straw Hats are the perfect crew to enable the most dreams possible. She could be a shipwright, a sniper, a navigator, an archeologist. Truly, all doors are open to her on the Straw Hat crew.
That sounded like a IMPSSOBLE dream and that dream is perfect for a Straw Hat member.

@@yazid6024 I'm not wrong at all, you're arguing out of exceptional cases. There's far more examples of DF working on haki users. Kaido and Big Mom were exceptions to the rule, and it was only due to the VAST gap in haki they had with Law.
Even then, as soon as the DF users awakened their powers, Kidd was able to make BM magnetic with Assign, Law could cut through Big Mom with K-Room and Silenced her, and Luffy was able to make Kaido's body rubbery.
So I repeat: haki doesn't make people immune to annoying DF abilities. It was a haki GAP that made that.
Give Law the same haki strength as Kaido, and he'd be able to Shamble him around.

There are 3 strong pieces of supporting evidence for this that Oda hid in plain sight.
1.) Bonney would be the 11th straw hat and Oda drew her setting out on her journey eleven hundred chaptrers after Luffy.
2.) The final panel of the chapter "Luffy's Dream" is Bonney popping out of the warm water eddy.
3.) When Bonney, Luffy, Jinbe, and Chopper arrive on Egghead it's an overt reference to Star Wars. Chopper is Chewbacca, Jinbe is han, the pilot, and Luffy who was made into an old man, who then lectures Bonney as she uses the lightsaber, is Obi Wan. This makes Bonney, Luke.

I'll add one more that I'm not as confident in, but still draws my attention.
After Bonney uses the lightsaber, she uses 3 more weapons on Egghead. The first weapon is a pipe identical to Sabo's, against Vegapunk, as an act of revolution towards an adult authority figure who had wronged her, harkening back to the scenario at Sabo's home town, where the adults were rotten and Sabo revolted against them. The second weapon is a loose piece of cable she swung at Kizaru in defense of Vegapunk, after learning the truth, and realizing she had to hold on to what she has left. This is reminiscent of Luffy's revelation after losing Ace. After Bonney realized that her father was dead she began defending what she had left. The wobbly cable representing Luffy's arms IMO. The third weapon is a sword that she stabbed Saturn with, as she was filled with fiery vengance. She gave into her rage just as Ace did when he confronted Akainu. And of course, Ace was named after a sword.
It's interesting that the weapon she is using all of a sudden, now that we are off the island, is a pistol. A reference to Luffy's first named attack possibly. Showing where her allegiance lies now that we're departing Egghead.

@@CrimsonKaiserx8 not at all. Bonney's been changing people's age the whole manga, and affecting people's dangerousness like that. There's no reason why she shouldn't use it to the heroes' advantage, in one particular instance. Especially against such odds as they might face in an eventual final war. If they have these legends among them, it would actually be a terrible waste not to boost them temporarily with the benefits of young age.

Maybe what Saturn did regarding her fruit was make it so it came pre awakened so distorted future is her fruits awakened power and unlike others who had to grow with their fruit to awaken it, Bonney has been able to use the awakened ability right off the bat thanks to what Saturn did
There’s no way Oda would water down Nika form by allowing her to grant that to everyone. I like the idea of her being a support and see the more likely application would be doing things like “Usopp, distorted future Brave warrior of the sea,” and Usopp becomes his bravest self. She would also do other feats like this, the problem is she could never do it to Zoro or Luffy…they need to overcome and become their dream, they would never let her fast forward them so she would only be useful to the bottom tier of the crew.
Bonney has skills.. if you can remember. Ginny was an expert thief and wiretapper. I think bonney inherits her mother's skills as an expert thief and wiretapper, and bonney has skills in using weapons. And she was expert spy and covert ops. Like other female strawhats. Nami as a thief and Robin as an assassin, they are more focused on gathering info and covert ops.

Nami already fill the role of writing a ships journal, it's confirmed that she have written a journal along her navigation and mapping since she joined the crew. That is how the WHOLE journey is written down and can be read. Yamato have no role other than strengh to add to the crew.

I don't really see Yamato joining. Not unless she becomes a focal point in the story soon. She really didn't have a proper arc dedicated to her, so her joining would be out of place. She seems more likely to be a strong ally.

I have a severe problem with the point made at 8:20. Im a huge advocate of bonnie joining the crew, tbh ill be dissatisfied if she doesnt. But her being able to immediately give the strawhats their best possible outcomes is a no for me. For one it completely and absolutely undermines their growth throughout the entire story. We know zoros and sanjis back stories and for that to immediately be washed away by the power of bonnie and not their own efforts would destroy the story. I think bonnie could provide a supplementary role to the crew but her main point should be for her to have a moment with the rest of the crew telling her its ok for her to be a child just as many of them had not been able too and for her to remain in her 12 yr old state and enjoy the high jinz with chopper Usopp and luffy. while being relieved of the burden of so much as a child just as ussopp, nami, franky, robin, sanji, and zoro had experienced. Let them be a child through bonnie.

I never thought of chopper as the “kid” of the crew even though he basically is but she’s perfect to be that role like shanks on Roger’s ship which I think was just cabin boy. Someone mentioned this as soon as we saw Bonnie was actually a kid and I totally agree.
Cabin boy/ apprentice role has to be the stupidest idea for a role this late into the endgame of one piece…

Yo guys it kinda makes sense, I always hated the whole Joyboy and Luffy being like some sort of destiny person, it always felt like it was kinda pushing away the main goal and plot of the story, it kinda felt like Luffy wanting to find the OP was being a bit side lined with Imu and the Gorosei stuff, to me luffy shouldn't be the one who liberates the world, his just a simple guy with a simple dream, to me he is not a hero, but someone who has a child like simple mind, and has his own sense of justice and morality that he fallows
Bonney basically being Joygirl now is Big, think about it this could mean that Luffy is kinda like a Shanks to Bonney
Plus this means that Luffy being Nika could not be what we think it means, meaning that Luffy is but also not the one who *(directly)* liberates the world but bonney is, and I know that yall are gonna say, Luffy is the Mc he has to be the one to do it, *NOPE* not necessarily, Law wants to find out the True meaning of D, which is a big dream for a side character to have, plus Luffy wants to be the king of the Pirate's, not save the world and be some kind of legendary hero, he doesn't even know who Nika is, on the other hand so far this whole Arc Bonney it is shown mostly in Kuma's backstory, we see how passionate and determined she was to find Nika and it's clear that she wants to be like him just look at some of her fighting moves, to cut it short this is only a guess, so don't argue with me, but I think that luffy job at being Nika is to bring Apon a new dawn and libate the world in the form of Bonney, but he still plays a big role in it, and Luffy can focus on BB and Shanks and fight to become Pirate King, the main plot of the story🤷🏽

She lacks proper haki and the combat experience to be a real endgame player nor a defined role on the crew…

Bonney stocks are based on in the moment hype and fan base headcanon there is nothing in the arc that supports this for the depth and complexity needed for her to be a main character…
You can believe all you want she will join but given in a few chapter when she’s either with the revs or on her way all of this will be folly on the end…
I can give you about 45 reasons to be excited for Yamato to comeback and her to join if you want to listen sometime🫡
I really like the idea of Bonney taking on different futures depending on which straw hat she could be with. For example a swordsman distorted future, a fishman distorted future, a sniper distorted future etc. While Nika future is ofc the strongest of them, her tapping into all of the strawhats situationally instead of just Luffy could come in handy.
I also like the idea of her joining the grand fleet and collecting Pacifista as her crew! And her journey could consist of her essentially liberating her own father over and over again, finally taking him back from the world governments clutches.
Heck she'd be an extremely valuable member of the Revolutionairy army as well if that's how they come back into the story to take care of Bonney on Kuma's behalf.
Luffy bout to be the most weakest character here soon. No one can have anything unique to them now, its kind of stupid to me TBH. To be able to copy EVERYTHING just defeats the purpose of luffy grows when there is a person who can copy everything of his fruits powers. Even when people say "OH yeah she is not powerful than luffy because she lacks haki to fully use Nika" she is literally a child with many years to train up till that point, and till then she might have perfected the nika fruit even more so than Luffy has. She is toooooo broken they literally need to nerf her before luffy gets the ONE PIECE, because I am not going to feel right that there is a person on luffy ship that can steal the title of the pirate king.
At this point Oda might as well give her every kind of haki as well. Because from what I can tell Haki is more easier to obtain than an Awaken of a Devil Fruit, because every person that has an awaken has unlock their haki. So that also defeats the point of giving luffy more haki to kinda balance out the Bonny Nika transformation.
So the thing of saying haki is stronger than devil fruits wont work. because all we have to do is give bonnie a few years or even month and she will be luffy equal. I dont like that. But honestly that just me
Yamato being a log keeper NEVER made sense because she hasn't experienced the majority of the journey and considering her upbringing I highly doubt she'd be better at it than Nami or Robin

She’s clearly going to write her own logbook about the history of the world..plus it has zero relevance if she wasn’t there for the start…
That information can always be written down later. It’s not about how you start it’s how you end it. She’s going to be there for the most important part of the story…

Maybe it’s just me & my potential copium but I feel like the last member to join will still be Yamato. Given of her friendship with Ace, Ace telling her about Luffy & all that. The only problem here is that Bonney never officially asked if she could join the crew. But who had ever wanted to join Luffy before they were asked to? Zoro was invited, Nami was invited, Sanji was invited, Chopper was invited, Brook was invited. Robin and Jinbei's conditions were special. The only two persons who voluntarily wanted to follow Luffy was Usopp and Franky.
The reason Bonney would want to join Luffy is that he is Nika. And if Nami get to know about her condition (12 years old and without a proper team), she will want her to stay.

Also as a bonnie for crew stan, i cant omit the bonnie and kuma pacifita possibility. For one all she really wanted was to be with her dad again, over seeing sun god nika. And in the memory flashback kuma makes a clear point to state that the memories he gives vegapunk is just a copy and that his original memories will remain. So as long as the original kuma remains so does his original memories. I still think the kuma pasafista will gain his memory and sail the seas with bonnie allowing her to grow up with her father. To me her joining the crew or leaving with the kuma pasifista are the only two possible outcomes and anything else will disappoint me
