  • Mercedes-Benz's new assistance and safety systems enhance safety, comfort and driver assistance to new levels.
Active Brake Assist, fitted as standard, is able to warn the driver of impending crash situations, provide just the right level of support during emergency braking and, if necessary, also apply the brakes automatically itself. In addition to slower-moving, stopping or stationary vehicles, it can also detect pedestrians crossing the danger zone ahead of the vehicle.
Likewise included as standard are ATTENTION ASSIST with adjustable sensitivity, which can warn the driver of inattentiveness and drowsiness, and Crosswind Assist, which can assist the driver by substantially mitigating the effects of strong crosswinds to prevent the vehicle from drifting too far off track.
Highlights of the optional Driver Assistance package that make the E-Class the most intelligent saloon in its class include:
00:15 DRIVE PILOT - Steering Pilot
01:14 DRIVE PILOT - Speed Limit Pilot
02:12 DRIVE PILOT - Steering Pilot - Active Lane Change Assist
    02:47 Car-to-X Communication
    04:24 Active Braking Assist - cross-traffic function
04:47 Active Braking Assist - pedestrian detection
05:14 Active Braking Assist - congestion emergency braking function
05:41 Active Lane Keeping Assist (basic system)
06:14 Active Lane Keeping Assist in Driving Assistance Package
    06:32 Evasive Steering Assist
    07:02 PRE-SAFE PLUS
    07:33 Parking Pilot - rear cross-traffic alert
07:54 Remote Parking Pilot (out of parking space)

Bu özellikler almak rahat 20tl yi bulabilir çünkü diğer araçlarında öyle ve hazır olan araçlarınn çoğuna eklenmeyedebilir

All I want to know about these features is how to turn them off :D
I absolutely love Mercedes for how they feel on the road. I want to be in control and move with the car. Feel the road and just be one with the car. If I just sit there and watch as my Mercedes drives itself, what's the point of me even being in it? When you drive a car with lane assist, if you fail to indicate, the car scolds you! I'm on an empty highway and you are not my mom to tell me when to indicate. Let me worry about that.
The car to car communication is a brilliant idea tho. Yeah, sure, there are days where even a hardcore petrolhead would use the autopilot function, but what I'm saying is that these systems should be adjustable by the driver to fit their needs and style of driving.

I often hear complaints from people, which have no experience with the systems at all. They just have an opinion on something, they can't estimate. There are even folks, which claim to manual shifting as the better way of driving, without having tried it for some days/weeks.
How about manual flash lights, where you can set yout individual rhythm.
I drive my 3rd E class now, and I would not want to miss my assistance systems.
Only the lane assist is a bit naggy. I switched it off.
If you want to feel the road, buy an Abarth 124 or something like that.
If you want to go to your office in a safe and comfortable way, buy an E class.

And... what the hell I'm doing in the car? Masturbate?! It's better to take f**king bus!!!
Instead spending ridiculous amount of money for technologies I prefer to spend it for a driving courses to learn how to drive, how to drive fast, and how to drive safe! The rest - the rest is just personal responsibility on the road! I rather take old Merc form the late 90's instead modern technological masterpiece which is boringly "perfect"
If the self-driving is the automotive future I don't want to be part of it!

Ato Nympha You pay for this electronic the amount of a small car and then turn it off - yeah very efficient ;)

+Ato Nympha I will be so happy to avoid being rear-ended from someone because he owns merc with Active Brake Assist. I don't give a damn about who saved the situation - the car or the human driver. It takes only few seconds of distraction to ruin someones life. Everyone make mistakes and some mistakes happen only once.

    • @BenzinioB
      @BenzinioB 8 лет назад

voltigore It is funny how Mercedes offer "active hood" for pedestrians collision safety, while the car also have "pedestrian recognitions system" which should stop the car before hit him at a first place... isn't it :)
I'm not against technology but we have to find the balance.
One sunny day your "safety angel" will brake down and you gonna crash - the exact think you don't want. And you going to crash because you will be so used to it that your driving style will change with the time and you gong to rely mostly on the electronic.
In my eyes people will be always on first place! I prefer to teach them, instead made them lazy and brainless.

    • @voltigore
      @voltigore 8 лет назад

+benzfen So you tell me, you always brake using ABS just because your car have it? And that affected your driving style? No sane person brakes so hard to activate ABS on every "stop and go" and that safety feature is on every car now. No sane person will let the car stop for him while he just poke his nose and watch the situation like it's a move scene. See my point? If your are so good driver you will not notice that features (some of them optional).
And I personally trust the machines more than a some idealistic "let's educate all the drivers to be better on the road" ideas, because at the end of the day we all know that people are idiots. Me included.
I hope you understand my English.
