Regards safety, you can simply tie a bit of cord to the pull tab - I have used this on other leashes, I surf predominantly in gloves so I need to be able to rip off a leash if it gets sketchy, hope that helps!
Thank you for your informative content! Have you heard any feedback on the „FCS ALL ROUND ESSENTIAL LEASH“? I‘m looking for a new leash for my 7 feet mid length. The velcro of my old FCS all round essential leash finally seems to be too weak after years of occasional usage - apart from that I haven‘t experienced any issues with it. Do you think the Creatures of Leisure Reliance Pro would be a better replacement?
Honestly... I just want a leash that won't wrap around my legs as I'm turning to paddle in. I've had so many issues with so many leashes. I've found the comp leashes do it less but still an issue in the water. There is nothing worse than paddling in on a perfect line only to have me ankles tied together at the last second. I'm thinking of giving this one a shot simply for that reason. And maybe that longer horn might help with that? (Or make it worse) I'm willing to spend the cash if it helps with this one particular issue.
Can’t say I’ve had a huge issue with that myself - and my go to is the Creatures Reliance Comp. The Helix certainly keeps it out of the way when you’re paddling though, but I would give the creatures a punt first before spending that extra cash. Let me know how you get on though!
Can’t say I have at the moment - to be honest I do t really do any big wave surfing so don’t really have the need for it! If you give it a blast let me know how it goes! 🤙
I've used the Superlite Lite but not the Superlite Pro. Personally I think I prefer the cuff design on the Reliance Pro though, which is currently my go to leash!

True, although overall I certainly prefer other leashes!

Personally that's the way I'd be going - all my boards now have COL Reliance leashes on them

@StokedForTravel
have you tested out the fcs protect leash yet?

You should do a video of this vs the creatures Superlite pro!

Soked,amazing 🙃
The blue FCS Freedom irritates the skin on my leg. Extended stem is not necessary. I prefer Dakine
good to hear you're getting on well with the Dakine - that lasted you a while?
The original was crap and burnt my hands when I was pulling the board back to me in the water
Yeah the original had a lot of flaws! This one certainly addressed a lot of them, but I still can’t justify that price tag!
Hi brother
Hey 🤙
