I've seen the inner core of one of these broken and A LOST UBER DRIVER ALMOST CHOPPED IN TWO PIECES if the center fin hadn't stopped the leash. Mine works good, but still has tangles. Maybe not worth the extra cost. Ah, and the swivels are too big.
Mine came back at me and gave me 6 stitches in my head. I was surfing 3 to 4 foot very punchy beaches. To be honest the thing was a menace. Was fine in small weak waves though. Surfed it for about a month but won’t use it again. That stretching is fucking dangerous.
Goofyfoot George Really bad. The whole surf it was coming back at me dangerously and finally got me. Before it hit me I’d more then made up my mind I wouldn’t be using it in those types of waves again. I surf a lot and have 30 years experience and it was making me uncomfortable. To be honest I’m pretty lucky. Could of been a lot worse.
I stretched it out in 6ft-8ft surf in costa rica / hermosa ! I had hopes for it as the ankle strap was sick. Prob better for a leash replacement for a 6ft comp not a standard 6ft fcs leash. RIP
Great review Goofyfoot George. what boards are you using? shaped by who? and what model? hmmm tricky question, design wise and the other + features maybe ill consider it if I dont have any other leashes. why not start with something you like and latest technology. BUT won't replace the old one with this.
Hi Casper, I have a fairly non-standard quiver. My most frequently used boards are: Custom Cannibal Conduit 5'10" x 22.25 (green board in this video) and my new 5'6" custom twin fin (rainbow board in this video) shaped by my friend instagrammer: @ramin_teimouri . I also have a super grovelly and wide 5'10" mutant fish shaped by my dad (Inspiration Surfboards). and 7' fun shape my dad made called the Pintail winger (video below). As that waves can be small here in Melbourne Beach, I also have 1 8'8" Cannibal Assassin SUP, and 9'6" Cannibal Hybrid Quad SUP. In short all my boards are either made by, or glassed by Cannibal at this time. Mostly because I love the durability, lightness, and the wild color tints they do. Ive had the exact same issue with FCS leashes in the past. Bought a brand new one and the cuff pulled off twice in the first surf, took it back to the store, got a new one and it pulled apart on the first surf as well. Hope this new velcro solves their sticking problems!
I had two regular fcs leashes as well where the velcro would come off sometimes in big surf sending my board to the beach and me for a breathtaking swimming session. Hoping the new velcro is going to hold better as well, gonna get one soon!

You are protecting the lives of us surfers 💫
🤟Thank you for the wonderful video
Great review. But I would love to see a comparison between this leash and the One XT Pro Comp leash from Ocean & Earth.

Richard Embery sorry to hear that man! Thanks for the intel, maybe the stretch was a bad call after all 🤔.

Nice review. Do you have any thought on if the extra-stretch of the nylon cord would be more likely to stretch and sling the board back at the surfer?
Nice question... I have this doubt too... and about durability...
Good job bro! Haha great review! I need one!
What do you do with the little clip on wax comb
@gooftfoot george So far how has the leash done?

Matthew Harris thanks for watching! And for the feedback 🤙🏽 bummer on the leash! Hope ya had a great trip.

Great review. $20 is significantly more, not sure if I'd pull the trigger on it.
Hey David, thanks for watching. I hear ya there amigo!
The blue FCS Freedom irritates the skin on my leg. Extended stem is not necessary. I prefer Dakine !
My FCS's leash velcro suck, it direct pull off and my surfboard just hit the rock and broke

Only Velco problem ... fluffy thread pulls around neck tab on backzip wetties.🏄🏻 Leashes? Nah 👣
FCS leashes - surf leashes made for surfers by people that know nothing about surfing. I've never had one that lasted, seem made in china.
Mine broke
6:21 😂😂😂
Goofy!!!
this was a great idea I wonder who thought it up.. rp1🙌🏻
