Top tier air rb either makes you feel like the most badass mfer on the planet or a complete idiot who just installed the game and there's nothing in-between.
Top tier is now a game of who sends a missile at who first. Thats why if you send them at about the same time, you have to start cranking until your missile is within range and then notching. If you see a missile coming towards you, you HAVE to defend. In short, by time you reach your bases, you will probably be defending/notching in that area until the first wave is past, and then moving in little by little. Its made engagements take a lot longer, im spending half the match defeating missiles
I think my experience with grinding Japan air says everything about the state of top tier currently, see I played all these terrible or hard to learn planes like the Kikka, F-104J, T-2, F-1, and F-4EJ, and I had spaded them all, but for the first time I couldn't bring myself to spade the F-16AJ (this is all after the br changes) largely because the F-16AJ is actually pretty bad right now because it gets it's ass dragged into the top tier fox 3 hell hole while its main strength is close quarters dog fighting (good luck doing that with fox 3's everywhere).

Top tier Jets is just straight up unfun since Aim-120's were added, especially if you play a nation that doesn't have them, even worse if you are stock grinding
Jets stopped being fun just after they added the f100 and early sidewinders that you could actually dodge. Now its just throw all your missiles then died

And you can easily notch fox3s even at close range (less than 5km)

I really recommend with fox 3. If theyre within pitbull range, break lock after sending the missile. You could lock chaff and misdirect it.
