Totally agree with you about Capture One! I moved from Lightroom to Capture One in last month and don't regret it, but I think the issue Fuji users have is mostly with X-Trans sensor files. I believe the GFX system uses a different sensor? So prospective GFX users can stick with Lighrroom.
Do you have sharpening in Capture One Pro? With this level of megapixels if you have any added sharpening it will destroy the level of detail the sensor is able to record. Just pull all added sharpening to zero and enjoy the results.
I dought that Fuji will go to the full Frame, would be a really bad move.... they will probably make cheaper Medium Format.. a niche that they are king ( entry medium format ). they also own the aps-c market in my opinion in regards to quality and professionnalisme.
Great video Thanks. I don’t understand why this censor size is called medium format. Everyone like to put names from the film camera to the digital camera world. And if so this censor is not medium format. Medium format start at 4.5x6 I think even Fujifilm called the censor size super full frame on a press meeting. Nothing takes away how awesome these cameras are but so strange that everyone want it to be medium format. Think of what will happen if somebody starts to call the other Fujifilm camera full frame camera 😲IMO censors that are between Full Frame and “real” Medium Format should have it’s own name. Maybe Super Format
I don’t think it should be called medium format, it’s not even the size of a 6x4.5 negative... it’s just another commercial gimmick with a little bit more bokeh, and tons more of megapixels so you go in to the chain of consumism buying new computer, hard drives, video cards etc
Not a gimmick. Sure it’s not full-frame medium format but it’s a lot bigger than 35mm full frame. So maybe cropped medium format. The camera is unique and special. You can’t properly make a judgement until you shoot with one and see the files.
PhaseOne and Hassleblad have sold this exact sensor size (44x33) for years alongside their « full frame » and no one ever said that they weren’t considered medium format.
@@AdamLernerPhoto My post was more about that stupid claim how its not medium format because of the sensor size. Hassy and Phase as sold this exact crop for years and no one ever complained, now Fuji makes an affordable one and every FF warriors brings that stupid excuse.
Adam Lerner I still can’t give my 1dx up I still think it’s the best all around camera. The operation speed and handling is second to none. I have been tempted by the gfx but it still feels slow in its handling and a little clunky compared to 1dx even though it’s fast for mf. Not that those two cameras compare but when your used to the one the other just feels slow. Especially because when you see it you associate it with the 1dx due to its form factor. I haven given up on the 1dx for gimbal work and moved to the eos r for the weight difference. Gfx could be in my future but so could the 1dxiii!!!!
@@schumif1champ I agree the 1DXMKII is an incredibly versatile and amazing performing camera. Even today and probably for years to come. But, other than the size of the GFX 100 body, there is no comparison. The GFX 100 however is very fast in terms of shooting medium format. Unlike anything I've ever shot.
Great how you walked us through your photos and all that detail! Thanks.
Thank you!

Nice one! And I compared editing the Fuji files in LR vs C1 and greatly prefer how the look in C1. The look and feel more organic to me in C1. Cheers!
Sigma 85mm, 105 and 135mm provides full coverage of the sensor. I am using the Canon EF to GFX adapter
Nice!
beautifull , just imagine 40 years from now mega pixels will be in the billions , and editing will be done on shot ,
thanks for sharing the image samples, great review. thanks
Your welcome and thanks for watching!

great video thanks for the review..!!
Thank you for your kind feedback!

Agreed. I'm waiting for them to come out with an even smaller GFX with IBIS and EyeAF.
great review man.
Thanks man!
Great review again Adam, but you pronounced Bokuuaahuuu wrong.
🤣🤣🤣
i think, my computer cant handle these files - ryzen 1600, 16gb Ram geforce 1070ti...
is this enough for 50r ???
The video card is important for editing these large files.
get NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 8GB I've been working for long time with Phase One IQ3 100 Trichromatic without any problem
Sounds like you’ll be fine
Arent you getting the sensor dirty by waving it around with no lens on?
I'm in a clean environment. Dust is always going to be a problem when changing lenses but I keep on top of it.

It's cropped medium format like a Phase P40+. But a different animal. Regardless what you call it, the GFX 100 is a remarkable camera.
When converted to a TIFF you get over 600mb file.
600MB will make one giant print!
I really dont understand , what Fuji's thoughts . Do they think GFX100 owner can't afford better storage cards like XQD CF? mystery of the year
Good question. I’ll ask them.

@@somuchfat Show me a 102 megapixel mirrorless medium format camera from Phase One or Hasselblad. You can't because there isn't one.

Leaving canon?
Left Canon last year.
Adam Lerner for Fuji? Is the gfx your main camera now? Miss the 1dx at all?
@@schumif1champ I don't own a GFX, just testing one. I miss the 1DXMKII for some things, but I don't miss the size and weight.

No full frame 🖼 for Fujifilm just APSC and Medium Format

Winner!
