Hey man! Love the video. I have a question hopefully you can answer. I was flying my DJI AVATA the other day on a long range flight. I was probably about 1-2 miles out from where I was. It kicked me out of manual mode and back into normal mode. Was this because of my flight altitude or the flight distance?? If it is the flight distance, is there a way to make sure I can go the full 5-7 miles in manual mode?
I believe that may be because the remote control lost signal at some point. DJI FPV does the same thing and automatically pauses you and changes to normal mode until you manually switch back and forth. Hope this helps.
DJI will only give you about 1600 ft AGL before the drone kicks back into normal mode. Happened to me while trying to dive a mountain in my area so I was in compliance with FAA regulations. You can limit the distance the drone can travel in the menus for the drone but I have set it to no limit for distance. You can unlock the altitude limit for DJI by requesting it on their website and submitting it I believe 72 hours beforehand, but it can be a hassle. Hope this helps.
