People who are overweight need to just be themselves and TRY to work on their weight. There is no sense in trying to find "true love" when you can't be true to others, and when you're not true to others, then you're really not true to yourself, either. Bigger people can still find love. I mean, look at the "little people" midget people: They find their mates, may not be easy cause of their tiny body structure and height, but they do it as themselves. Overweight people need to work on themselves before they seek out love. Make friends first. Get yourself a small circle of people who wanna be around you for YOU, and get to be friends with people who will motivate you to be a BETTER version of you, not some fake person you know you're not. You know you're overweight, there are things you can do about it if your self-esteem is to the point where you have to catfish people to find someone to be with. Stop pretending to be someone else to find love. It never works out in your favor. There are, believe it or not, people out there who LIKE bigger people, heavier people, and there's nothing wrong with that, but there is something wrong with hiding yourself from the world. You need to be you, because at the end of the day, truth always comes to light, and the truth is always more comforting when you're true from the start. Don't use your weight as a sympathy card. YOU can lose the weight or at least tone up a bit, and get fit somewhat, so no sympathy from me. I will never understand how you can be so low in your own self esteem to not do anything about your weight so that YOU CAN feel better about yourself, and YOU CAN gain more self-confidence to go out AS YOURSELF and find someone to love. It's not impossible. But it is once you're exposed on national TV as being a fake, basically.

This woman might have just saved this kid. He got his first girlfriend by lying and so that validated the idea that it was okay to do it again. This kid could have (and still might) become a serial liar/catfish. But maybe this is the wakeup call he needs to realize that's not the way to do things. She was smart to walk away and give him no grace. And Nev was smart to reiterate that this was his fault. Hopefully that reality check works and he can learn a lesson before he hurts anyone else.

I'm genuinely asking because I'm seeking to understand how people are getting catfished by amateurs (as opposed to professional con-artist masterminds and fraudsters) in this day and age.
For anyone who has been frothing at the mouth to call someone out for victim-blaming, consider the following analogy: it is not mandated that all adult cyclists wear a helmet when riding a bicycle, but if an unprotected cyclist meets with an accident that results in them cracking their skull is it victim-blaming to wonder why they chose not to wear a helmet?
Watch the episode and you would know. He said it himself he’s hung around only older people and knew a lot about pop culture of the times. A good actor who gets confidence from pretending to be someone else.
@@heavenn8263 It's one thing to have an extensive knowledge of historical facts, but that is not necessarily going to cross over into the manner in which you communicate.
I will concede that if he was hanging out with older people it may influence his conversation style, however, it becomes clear, if you are having substantive conversations, when the content of your conversations lacks the maturity that only comes with life experience.
But maybe their conversations were more superficial and he was a very gifted writer.
I would watch the whole episode if I could find where they are streaming in my location. Or if they were posted on RUclips. There was no lack of searching on my end. I work with what's available to me.
