    Sir can’t we directly solve this question when we know that COD is an equilateral triangle? Angle COD will be 60 and it’s opposite angle, i.e CED, will add to 180.
    So CED + COD = 180
    = CED + 60 = 180
    = So CED = 120 Degree

    • @pradeepmandal5547
      @pradeepmandal5547 Год назад +1

      That only happens when the quadrilateral is a parallelogram or a cyclic quadrilateral. And that's why the answer is also wrong, it should be proved 60degree not 120

    Sir I have doubt that can we solve by exterior angle property ? Because if we add two adjacent angle it will come 120 degree then in triangle CED angle come 60 . 180-120 = 60 and same as other two sides so so , 60 , 60 degree then angle sum property then 180 = 60+ 60 + angle E then 180-120 = 60. Therefore angle E = 60 hence proved

    • @Mathemafia
      @Mathemafia  3 года назад

      Consider this example - there are two twins, they have equal age, equal height but still they are two different people. We normally do not say a person is equal to other person. The values of their properties are equal. So for all such geometric shapes that have equal magnitude of their properties are called congruent. Hope this is clear now.

    • @Mathemafia

    • @Mathemafia
      @Mathemafia  3 года назад +1

      Equal is used to compare the magnitudes. For shapes and angles the term used is congruence. In general we use equal and congruence alternately but that is not right in terms of geometry. I always quoted this example, consider two twins with equal height - Their height is equal but we should not say twins are equal. Another way to understand it is - CPCTC - means Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent (not equal). That means the sides and angles are congruent. When we say two angles are congruent that means the measure of angles is equal but those could be two different angles. Similarly congruent shapes means they have equal length of corresponding sides and equal magnitude of corresponding angles. But it is generally ok when we say or use EQUAL for shapes and angles. Hope this helps.
