I had broached conversion to the Karaite faith way back when, but life unfortunately got in the way (family illness and whatnot), and I never ended up following through. By the time I was in a position to pick it back up, the window to conversion had closed. One of the biggest regrets of my life, to be honest. Regardless, I'll continue supporting the Karaite community for the rest of my life. Be well, and take care of both yourselves, and each other.
Continuing to draw closer to God by reading the Torah is already doing a lot... Don't worry and don't regret anything because we are all in our place wherever we are. God will recognize his own in his time. (I speak French and I translate into English)
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send famine in the land, not scarcity of bread and thirst of water, but hunger and thirst of hearing the words of the Lord. Amos 8.11 These are our times, aren't they?
Mazal tov on your newTorah! I think it’s great that you have both the nikudot and teamim on the scroll. By the way, Samaritan Torah scrolls are written in the Samaritan version of the Palaeo-Hebrew alphabet, but without nikudot.
I wish there were more Karaite communities in the US. I feel homeless in Judaism at the moment. The Orthodox clearly add to the Torah and care more about the length of their skirts and what their Rav will think, than they do about G-d. Reform have thrown the bible out of the window, and the Conservatives aren't far behind them.
I must say as a Karaite Jew that even modern Karaites have it wrong. The Law is ONLY Deuteronomy. Moses says repeatedly do what I tell you this day and STRICTLY add nor substract anything. That is the Command. Even tho circumcission isn't included in Deuteronomy it was performed prior to crossing so it is the only thing outside Deuteronomy that can, with reason, be applied as Law also. It is as if modern Karaites advocate just the Torah but don't actually read what Deuteronomy says. Moses is very very clear on this. I invite all Karaite Jews to read it. There is absolutely no way anyone can argue with my assertion without sounding like a Rabbinical Jew. Deuteronomy is the only Law.

Are you willing to send the pasuk where you're referring too?
You’re clearly not a Karaite when you’re talking like that 😂
