Hmmm, no I did not, you will find out that pulling a liner tool create bright lines. I will add that liner tools cheapen engraving. You will never see an engraved high grade Boss, H & H, Purdey, etc where a liner tool was use. Liner tools were created to shade faster, not better, they were use on less expensive and extensive works to make the firearm more affordable. Engraving at a certain level require mastery not speed, of course it is an elitist point of view but as we all want to be known for the quality of our work I do not think that it negative. I do not want to be faster, I want to be better, I use the technique which is best going to help me in that goal.
