Still Life painting - blocking in values

Blocking in accurate values is fundamental when making a still life oil painting. Watch as I demonstrate how I block in the main values and then begin to soften the edges. This stage of the painting took me around four hours. Once this stage of the painting is dry I will then adjust the hue and chroma of the colours and then begin to add details.
