    I must have just missed the live! I just happened to see this video along the video list on the right side of my RUclips feed. I've been so curious about Olo markers, so I'm happy to see this!

    Hi Amy! I love your honesty! Also because of this video I actually finally downloaded and filled out my Copic hex chart! I have had Copic for 8 years and just made my own swatches, but this is going to be so helpful!

    Hi Amy! I appreciate your honest opinion and the fact that you refuse to get paid for a positive review ! That is something I don’t understand about this generation, it losts it’s integrity

    Thank you for this video. I am lucky enough to have a lot (too many) of the COPIC markers and the full set of the OLO markers. That being said, there are definitely benefits to having a half marker...packing less, having two colors together that you always use together, etc.. But it drives me up the wall to have to have two different colors on one (because I have no need for the chiseled tips). I try to make it work but to make it even worse, no matter how you do it, on several colors, you end up with a pen with no partner. And if you put a blank in it, it is different shaped. It was so nice to hear that it bothered someone else out there (my husband thinks I am bat $hit crazy, hahaha). I know I am the extreme, but it is nice to know that there are others out there that this bothers too, at least a little. I LOVE your idea about the fine tipped.

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад +1

      I REALLY hope they release a fine tip - I am pretty sure I'll just use them as stublets till either a fine tip option is released or else I'll try to pull strings to get another deal and get another brush tip set to connect the same colors. So lol you're not alone - having 2 colors on one marker will drive me bonkers. At least with my tri-blends there's the 3 shades in the one marker which is the main reason I like them lol.

  • @bertas-cards
    @bertas-cards 6 месяцев назад

    Once you use them you will figure out how you want to connect them. I love them over my minute cracking cap copics that ruin them. With Olo don’t recap until you are done with your coloring session. The uncap & recapping can cause pressure & ink drips. Olos are roughly 3 years old. Olos are about half the price of copic sketch markers.
    Stay tuned new colors & nibs are in the plans.

    Amy, you know I’m always here for your RUclipss, although I’m watching on replay. I have some Copics, but I have been purchasing the Olo marker, a few at a time. I like that I can buy 1/2 pens and connect them to the color I might use it with.

  • @julesl1436
    @julesl1436 6 месяцев назад

    Thank you Amy for your honest words. I am very sick and this video helped me to relax ❤❤❤. I have a lot of copic markers (not all of them) and I am not sure if I should buy the olo markers. I want to try them. I can not to wait to see you do more coloring projects with olo markers. I appreciate honesty and a person who stays true to herself.

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад +1

      I think if a person wanted to get some OLO colors that aren't in Copic colors that could work to just fill out blends etc as they should work and blend together. I may do that down the road but I make no promises right now until I get more used to the OLOs

      @@PrairiePaperandInk Thank you for your response.
      I will watch you coloring with Olo markers and then I will decide. And maybe I fill out some Colors Copic markers don’t have like you said.
      They are also a little bit of investment. So I am happy to continue watching your Videos.

    Thanks for showing the colors and your first impressions. I’ve been waiting for them to come out with either a fine tip or small bullet tip marker before I take the plunge and invest in these markers. I’m excited to see what new colors they come out with in April.
    Also, I quit watching Jazza after that video you mentioned. How does anyone trust his reviews after that?

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад +1

      yeah it would be perfect if they did a fine/bullet nib for them IMO! As for him yeah - if it had JUST been a review of them it wouldn't have been so bad (still not unbiased and still would irk me as I think sponsored reviews are biased and no one should do them) but to compare them and claim the brand sponsoring is better than the brand he's comparing them to just gave me the ick and I stopped watching after that as well. When opinions can be bought they can no longer be trusted.

    Hi, I have an inkjet printer that will do that when the print head is dirty. Your printer should have a setting to do a clean and/or deep clean. Love your videos!😊

    Watching this as I replay, I know these aren’t cheap and I’m waiting fir a fuller pallet, however given they are an ink cartridge and currently non refillable. I’d be tempted to wait for another deal and have two full sets, and use the connector rings to make one double brush pen and just have the used end facing outwards in storage, an initial ball ache to be sure but long term you could just order a few refills/replacements as needed ❤️❤️

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад +1

      I'm going to wait and see if they release a fine tip for them and if that doesn't happen then yes my preferred solution will be to get a whole second set and connect them. LOL this was why I have been avoiding diving in to OLO's b/c I KNEW I'd have a conundrum like this

  • @peggyjarvis8819
    @peggyjarvis8819 6 месяцев назад

    Hi Amy. Awesome video! I was wondering if you could add the connecter section to the stubbies? It would make them a bit longer and maybe more comfortable to hold. Love you videos, Keep them coming!!!!

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад

      I might try it but it only adds a little bit so even for me and my small hands it may be pointless. Adding the connectors though would also prevent me from misplacing them b/c that is for sure going to happen otherwise lol

    I caught the tail end of your live. One ?? How does your hand feel after you've used them.

  • @nancern53
    @nancern53 6 месяцев назад +1

    You could just buy a couple of adapters and just put it on the ones you’re using at the time.

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад

      yeah I'm not going to sit and add/remove adapters - I use too many markers at a time when coloring and that would just make it time consuming and frustrating IMO. I would (and will lol) rather just use them as-is until I decide on a permanent solution :)

    Hi Amy. Just wondering what you use for storing your OLO markers. Like you, I’m not sure how I feel about 2 colors in 1 marker. I didn’t know there was some kind of a handle for them. But, $3 each is a lot of money. I have all the colors & can’t wait for the release of the new colors.

    • @debbipeloquin9049
      @debbipeloquin9049 6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the info on Sandy’s color charts. As for the OLOs, I really like the size of the hex’s. I would assume if OLO brings out more colors, the hex’s will go smaller like the Copic charts. You are just starting on your purple shades, & I love OLOs purple colors.

    • @PrairiePaperandInk
      @PrairiePaperandInk  6 месяцев назад

      said in the video - just going to keep them as-is and store them in the box for now. Until I figure out what I want to do otherwise they're just going to stay like that lol ;)

      Someone else mentioned in the comments that OLO is planning to release different nibs so I assume (hope!) that means fine tips - I couldn’t find any info so maybe we’ll find out when the new colors come out in April
