I'm impressed you can figure out what they are from the footage! Thank you, it's quite a strange experience cycling past an airport, you feel like you've gone really far and planes are still really close to the ground when preparing to land haha
I am sensing that this is going to be an epic journey for you, and therefore a great series for us to watch! I've followed you from when you first started posting and watched your video skills progress in just a short space of time. Really looking forward to this and wishing you all the best on your travels 🙏🚲⛺👍
Thank you so much for your comment and for watching my videos from the start, I really appreciate it!! I'm really excited for what's to come and have enjoyed the trip a lot so far, so hopefully I can get that across in my videos :) thank you again!
@@Geocycling1993 No bother, it's been a pleasure watching them! I've travelled a great deal myself, including staying on in some of the countries after finding work there, but never travelled in a continuous massive loop that you're doing now! All the best and bon voyage 😃🚲⛺👍
Oh it's a great route to cycle! It's crazy being near the edge as it's a sheer drop at points, but on a clear day you get an amazing view of France and the Channel.
Looking forward to following your trip. £650 already is a great start and I bet it’s even more by now. I’m leaving on a trip in a couple of weeks and can start to understand the anxiety and emotional rollercoaster you’re on. One day at a time. You got this!
Thank you :) oh wow, where are you going? Haha, it definitely was an emotional rollercoaster on the first few days. I have felt a lot better after a few days and from getting into my new routine. Your day is so full of new things that it's hard not to become distracted haha. Good luck!!!
@@Geocycling1993 just realised I forgot to reply to this. I’m doing 8 weeks around France. Atlantic coast, Pyrenees, Med, Provence, Alps and then Loire Valley. I’ve nearly made it to La Rochelle 10 days in. Few days behind schedule due to the lousy weather. Hope you’re well!
I've been subscribed to your channel for some time and really enjoy your videos warts and all. I'm 64 now, married for 40 years and wish I was your age again knowing what I know now, just do it while you can as you never know what the future holds for you as this maybe a one off opportunity for you which you will never be able to repeat 👍
Thank you for your kind and wise words! This was genuinely a reason why I pushed to do the trip as I never knew if I would suffer from an injury or have too many commitments to uproot myself for a year in the future! The blessing I have had is the amount of accessible content online which helped influence me to do this trip, something that was probably not greatly available when you was around my age. I would have probably not done what I'm doing without the influence of others as I would have probably thought it to be impossible or not even thought of it as a way to travel. Thank you for watching my videos so far and it's great being able to share this adventure with you all :)
Great video Jacob wish we could have cycled further with you but Dover was our destination . It was a tough start for you on this journey remember keep cranking those peddles every turn brings you closer to home . Stay safe and well.
I'm leaving for a cycle trip on Monday and even though I've done it loads of times before, I get the same anxiety every time - and I'm only going to France! I can't imagine doing something as impressive as the challenge you have set for yourself, so hats off to you mate. I donated and am looking forward to following the rest of your trip - fingers crossed for some dry days!
Thank you 😃 I'm happy I'm not the only one haha! Thankfully the emotions settled after a few days, but it definitely was tough at the start! Where are you going in France? It's such a nice country to cycle in! Thank you for your donation!! I really appreciate it 😃
@@Geocycling1993 Glad to hear it mate, and more than happy to support such a good cause 👍 I'm going to cycle the west coast from Brittany down to Bordeaux - nothing major, but I'm still a bag of nerves today ahead of setting off tomorrow! I'll be OK once I'm on the bike I'm sure 😄
That's a pretty big trip and it's fully understandable that you would feel nervous before it! Hopefully now that your wheels have been on the road that the nerves have settled and that you have been enjoying it! I hope you have an amazing trip and have safe travels!!
Cheers 😊 I'm on day 3 now and getting into the swing of things! Currently on a ferry with.a French kid leaning over the chair in front and trying to talk to me 😆
Sorry for the late response, it's not so good at letting me know on here when people reply! Haha that sounds like a funny moment 🤣 I just saw that you finished your trip on Instagram! Well done mate! Did you have a good time?

Nice to see the route from Folkestone past the concrete ear. The view from up there over the channel is epic.

I miss you all too Penny! I hope you have been all ok!!
Been waiting for this.i think you win the prize for the most luggage on a bike I’ve seen 🤣🤣🚴♂️👍
Hahaha 🤣 I get a few side glances, especially when I'm going up hills! My new sleeping bag doesn't help make things look better either 🤣
