I just love your work and how you swipe. Does it matter the type of paper towel? Thick absorbent or the thinner type? You sure do so much with such basic colors. I love it!

How do you finish the painting? Do you put some varnish on it? If so, what kind do you use?
Natalie i usually varnish them. I use liquitex gloss varnish for my first coat and then end with satin varnish. There’s a video down a ways about all.

Hi Kathleen. You make it look sooo easy. Are the swipe paints the exact same mix as the background paint? If not, what are the differences?
Linda they are. Both are very fluid. Leaves no trace when they roll off the popsicle stick into the cup.
Where do you purchase the soft artist white and black? My Michaels doesn’t have it. Thanks
Karen you can order them on line from Michaels. If you use the pro shop and buy a six pack there only $5.50 each.
Cathleen, when I went through my gray period, I always had to add a bit of blue! My question is, how do I not add a blue tone?

You’re so steady handed. I definitely am not. Hence my big problem. Do you have any ideas that would help? A different type of pour? I’ve tried a nice glass of wine. And also took my anxiety medication. I want to paint with my faculties. Sometimes I feel like I should be doing something else. Thanks for letting me vent. I’m so frustrated, and yes I am very hard on myself.🥰🐾🐾
Josie darling. When I swipe it is usually with one hand. I have a little shake as well. Two hands shake more then one. I also draw a mental line in my head to the side of the paper towel. I stare at that and not the paper towel as I swipe. Maybe this will help 😊

Amanda you can paint with out it. It helps with cracking and crazing. Many paint with just paint, floetrol
