Just a little correction, Hinduism was not brought to india by invaders thats British narrative. New research tells us otherwise. When human migrated from Africa and the faith they believe in is very similar to Hinduism ( thats why lots of african nation is converting back to Hinduism coz it resonate with their native religion and they have similar gods like we do)
There Is nothing called Hinduism. It's just the way of living and worshiping everything which u see. Like all the tribes in the world. It's actually a tribe culture.

It starts from Adiyogi Shiva who gave 112 ways to 7 sages, those 7 sages went to different parts of the world, so you will see the influence of Hindu culture in native cultures around the world.

Hinduism is about seeking, not believing. Abrahamic religions are just theological makes you/forces you to follow, but Hinduism is philosophy. no brainwashing no forcing no pushing. god is a tool to seek liberation, once liberated you dont need god, because you are one yourself.

a correction to what sadhguru said, india doesnt have 33 million gods, it has 33 koti gods now this word koti means supreme in sanskrit but it got lost in translation where the britishers wrote it off as million, these 33 gods are all stemmed off from vishnu he is the reality, there was nothing before him, he will never die nor did he take birth he is the supreme
another thing there are avatars of gods in hinduism they are not deitys but since they are so powerful and their personality is so righteous, people praise them too
hindus dont do idol worship we worship gods through the idol, just like muslims face towards the qaba for offering their prayers

The oldest.. and the scriptures do mention that it got submerged as soon as Kalyuga started.. and now that is a real proof of how old the indigenous Sanatan civilization is

Hinduism had many phases parts various philosophies each according to the level of development, temperament etc

It takes a lot of indepth study to understand hinduism. There r basically no rules for living as a hindu but basic beliefs and rules of nature that are inherent. The foremost rule is of Karma that of action n reaction. Whatever are your actions you get an equivalent reaction. You do good and dont hurt others... Good will come to you and no one hurts u. There is no violence in the name of religion here. God is that only one ultimate power but he is not involved to give u reward or punishment. Thats the work of the nature and he has created nature such with rules. Nature rules. You reap what u sow. But God is merciful. If you repent from your heart ,not words, He can negate or reduce punishment by nature which is due. He is happy if you r good, nature rewards u.
You love him ..he loves u back. You ignore him. He doesnt remind you. As long as u r a good person u get ur rewards from nature whether u r an atheist or a theist.
Thus as a hindu you can be a polytheist believe in plenty of gods( superior angels) n demi gods( lower angels) or be an atheist or be a monotheist yet u still remain a hindu.
