A damaging #tornado strikes the community of Hawley, Texas. The tornado was on the ground for over 20 minutes and became violent as it hit a neighborhood causing significant damage and injuries.
The national weather service did an excellent job on the warning. I got the tornado warning 45 minutes before it hit. I was able to get us out of there and completely away from the storm and we sat in a gas station lot 20 miles in the opposite direction of the storms path and waited. Thankful our house wasn’t effected and the storm shifted east before hitting town and lost its fuel. Prayers for these poor people effected. This storm came out of nowhere. We were eating supper and i got the text alert from the national weather service! They did great! Prayers for everyone hurt! I got an update that so far people are only hurt and I’m sure psychologically scarred. There were children hurt as well but as of now all everyone knows is they’re broken hands and foot and they’re getting CT scans to be safe. Terrible terrible storm!
