Honestly your quick reaction with that fire extinguisher probably was the difference between what the result ended up being and the whole building going up in flames. Great job.
Everybody is so quick to call security wannabe cops without realizing that their job is protect the property and people. The officer did everything right in this video.
I was gonna say I feel bad for cats, bc they typically hide under the bed when strangers come in or fire alarms go off, but checking every bed would be too long..
Theses security officers are first on scene many times but never get the respect or credit they deserve I worked security for nearly 4 years in clubs hotels businesses and neighborhoods
Usually you hear about the fire alarm being pulled before the FD shows up, but this definitely seemed like a situation where it was more judicious to call them first and evacuate the building as a last resort.
2 things. 1: Why not pull the fire alarm sooner? 2: is there a reason why he didn't put the extinguisher into the wall? It seems like more powder would get on the fire that way.
Quick reaction. When you pulled that fire alarm, I wouldn’t of even thought about doing that because the fire department was already on scene. But it makes sense because it helps evacuate people.
I put out a fire on a bulliton board in the hallway of my apartment building once . It was just smoking when the fire department showed up. The maintenance guy comes running full speed after they were already there 15 minutes. The idiot gets upset that I put it out. Says I should have got him instead since I'm just a tenant. I just laughed in his face and told him to go back to his nap.
Does this seem like it was an electrical fire? would turning the power off in the building at least slow the fire down? I doubt someone accidentally threw a match in that little spot.
That building has stucco in it so it wouldn't take much for one small spark to cause a big fire to start. I go with Anxious clain's theory about electrical wiring
I work in security and i have to say, we always end up being Firefighters, EMTs, Police, Social workers, and sometimes we do things that have nothing to do with our Job Description: Last night i was an exterminator as well as a baby sitter 🤷🏾
Stay safe And don't let anyone try And harm you guys And i i mean that And thats The Truth of The matter of fact because of course that i don't want you guys to get hurt at all And thats The Truth of The matter of fact.
@@alexandersalarms5380Fire alarms are meant to alert people of a raging fire. The order does some times count. If it's a internal structure fire like this one pulling the fire alarm should be a priority.
@@EvilNeuro_IITPP Yes, fire alarms are meant to alert people of a developing incident, like a smoke condition in the building. In this case, it still doesn't matter if he pulled it first or attempted to put it out. The fire alarm system would be automatically activated by smoke, heat, or sprinkler before reaching the threshold which is dangerous for occupants inside which is the entire point they exist. The fire was burning inside the wall, and it hadn't broke out into the actual unit yet.
And they still dont wanna give security the respect that we deserve
shut up hippy
For real, untill shit goes down, people are just all made at the world, they can't beat themselves up, just self destruct

Absolutely true
Security Officer = Fireman, Police, First Aid and Social Worker combined.
If anyone saved my dog like this they would and will have my help for the rest of my life.

I see that happen all the time, the FD being there has nothing to do with getting the building evacuated
Awesome job brother! I wished I had you on my team for training and advice !
Great job by the security worker for using the extinguishers and pulling the fire alarm to warn others.

What started the fire?
Good job my man!
What caused the fire?
Brian Pepin probably faulty wiring
Or someone put a still lit cigarette butt in that crack?
