DMB is the most in depth, musically phonetical masters of rock composition and produce the greatest cacophony of varied sound dimensions from individuals with highly skilled talent levels, it makes for the most highly intricate band, unparallelled. You combine mature friends who are grounded with a hard work ethic and create masterpieces for the world to savor, we all should be so lucky! I saw them 3 times in Wisconsin, and can't appreciate their gifts enough they give us. Listening to DMB has helped me get through 3 marathons, difficult times in relationships, helped motivate me under tremendously stressful times, and, I have enjoyed playing along to their songs with my Roland kit as I fantasize being like Carter. Thanx ya'll! You change peoples' worlds.

"Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd" and "Seven" are my favorite songs from this concert. "Stolen..." - trumphet in that song just haunts me :) "Seven" - energy in this song is overwhelming and Tim's solo... i''m speechless :) Great concert.
Excellent show. I wish that I had the extra funds to attend but I have learned ti live on a teachers salary and not complain. Thank you for posting this.
I've been a fan of this band since the 90's. I've always wanted to go to one of their concerts. And finally I can! Yes, it is on RUclips, but dangit, it is better than nothing!
Kids today (not all) but a majority of them, will never know what REAL music is. Will forever and always Love DMB!! Their concerts are amazing, too! 😉😍
OMGosh! I just heard something that made me stop in my tracks and listen to it again and again. At 2:05:00 That harmony with Carter and Rashawn!! ARE YOU FRGGIN' KIDDING ME!!! I listened to this about seven times. Jeez. I want to travel with the band one summer and sing the harmonies. Can I please?
Amazing acoustic-MTV would have shat itself in the day for an un-plugged like this! Friday night at The Gorge was right on this acoustic level- scary fine...
The shows at The Gorge are fantastic. I went to the first two DMB did, then the tickets started selling out in minutes -- and prices went waaaaay up, provided you can find them. Crazy. It's a great tradition - and never has been a bad show. :)
Can't wait to miss them ! One more time oh well that's how it goes . The most moving music in the world ! Great lyricism's ! Love you over and over again !
I read a true story about a year ago about a couple who were newly married and had decided to go see the DMB on some of their time off. They were driving into the city(I can't remember maybe Dallas) from about 100 miles out. As they got to the outskirts of the city they saw someone pushing a decent mountain bike with a broken chain or something. Being avid mountain bikers they pulled off to the side of the road to see if the guy needed help. They were sort of in a hurry and did not wont to be late. As the guy pulled up his wife started mumbling Oh my God under her breath. Her husband could see what she was upset about because of the way he was sitting. The guy stooped down to look in the car and it was Dave Matthews pushing the bike. The helped him stow his bike on the rack on their car and the man himself jumped in the back...They started laughing because they had just been talking about being late for the show. Dave had brought his bike on the tour bus and would ride around and get some road time in and relax before time to play. They dropped him of near the back of the place they were playing and a few roadies got his bike. He told the people to check at the ticket booth when they came to the concert. They figured he was busy and just forget them. They checked at the booth and a guy walked around the side to talk with them...he had them swap their back row seats for a couple of down front center stage tickets. After the show got started Dave stopped and told the audience they owed a couple down front a debt of gratitude because he was stranded in the middle of nowhere and they rescued him so the show could go own. The guy said the place went wild and gave them a standing o...Well everybody was sort of standing anyway. They were invited backstage after the show and had a ball. It had to be one of those once in a life time deals.
It's a shame that despite the fact this was recorded professionally, people still felt compelled to record it with their phones. PUT THEM DOWN AND DANCE!!
Tobin you look like the typical jag off who goes to DMB shows with your oversized novelty sunglasses and hemp bracelets that me and my friends clown on. The DMB have encouraged fans to tape and film their shows. so why not. if people didn't there wouldn't be so many awesome RUclips videos out here for people to view. if you wanna dance do it in the back where you're not bumping into anyone or blocking their view. I save the dancing with my lady til after the show out on the beach.
Tobin Birney A person should get to do what a person feel is right for himself. Besides, some artists actually love the lights from the phones. It´s the "lighter" of the new age.
can barely wait to see Dave at the new Dailys amphiteater here in Jax...Last time I saw was West Palm, 2006, just back fro Kuwait...life is good ya'll!
I hope they bring back the acoustic sets in 2018, that stand up bass is bad ass. I love the intimacy in each instrument. Yes, Rashawn killed it on Stolen Away. They are undeniably the best of what's around.
O ATH - I am a very creative person too and one of the things I've observed about this type of person is that they do often have highs and lows. Sometimes we're on top of the world and sometimes we just feel like there's no reason to keep going. This is just a part of our physiological makeup - I am a successful copywriter but my novels and short stories get rejected all the time by publishers. Just have to deal with the rejection and move on. I think as long as we keep on working at what we love (which for me is writing) then our time here on earth is not wasted.
Dave is FUCKING hilarious!!! When u see him live it’s hard to understand him or hear him depending where u sit/stand. With this u can hear him clearly and it’s historical! And I love that he gives credit to individual people on stage and their roles...some front men don’t do that. Dave a seems so genuine and like such a nice guy I’d give my left tit to hang out with him and the band and smoke and what not. It’s also interesting to see the difference between this concert and the one I saw this year (2018). The transitions from song to song and stuff like that. And to see all the similarities. Dmb is life!
Also I’ve been a fan sine the 90s and I’m from the Chicago land area and I’ve been to every show around me within a 3 hr driving radius..minus wrigley field which I was sooooooooo upset about!!!!!
One last thing, I know there would be no way to contact the group directly to mention this to them, but I've often thought of a particularly great song opportunity for them to play as a cover like they periodically do in honor of a legendary band. I've always thought how they could take such a classic by an honored group and give it their own flavor. The song I would love DMB to play live in their own unique haunting style is "In The Cage" by Genesis, a deep, mysterious, powerful song. Carter would love the drumming parts to it and Dave would appreciate creating the acoustic styles and vocal stretching. The song, like many of DMB's songs consists of a variety of segmented "chapters" that fits Dmb's style and consistency. Listen to In the Cage live, especially the version they played in Rome, Italy. It is Phil Collin's epic masterpiece. People, your thoughts?
Didn't go wife and sister in-law went, wife still talks about it should have gone hope it see it again in this life time thank you very much Jacksonville
like so many of these songs are way better here then the original recorded verison?!?!! maybe 10 years later he they are a better band ? I think so they are better now then ever.
I saw this concert tour last night. They are spot on, they play a bunch of different songs and only jam on a couple like 41. Very tight musically now and masters of their craft.
I am confused, they start out with everyone in a line, including Carter off to the left, and then end with Carter in the back again....I missed when he was moved....
They played 2 sets. One of them was acoustic, one of them was electric, and they had a 20-30 minute intermission in between. That's when the equipment was moved.

My thoughts, EXACTLY! GBY!

A concert that I send to others who are still unsure about this band.
Dave is what I need to hear right now as I'm going through this tough time.
Hope you're doing better.
"Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd" and "Seven" are my favorite songs from this concert.
"Stolen..." - trumphet in that song just haunts me :)

Great concert.
Excellent show. I wish that I had the extra funds to attend but I have learned ti live on a teachers salary and not complain.

Teacher salary life! I try to see lots of cheaper local shows then splurge for a DMB level concert once in a while :]
The best jam band from my generation bar none.
Awesome! Thanks so much for posting. Made my day at the office so much sweeter!
Awesome concert so glad they came to Jacksonville hope they stop by again!!
I've been a fan of this band since the 90's. I've always wanted to go to one of their concerts. And finally I can! Yes, it is on RUclips, but dangit, it is better than nothing!
That feel when the sound of Dave reaches your Soul.
This was the first concert I ever attended. Worth the 32 year wait!
thanks for posting the entire concert to stream over and over! you're the man!!!
Man, wow. Dave and Co are always great live but this... This is an exceptional performance. Love this, thanks for posting.

so glad you pointed that out.
I find it astounding that this was 2014, and DMB is still killing it live; one of the best bands of the 90s-00s
Amazing acoustic-MTV would have shat itself in the day for an un-plugged like this! Friday night at The Gorge was right on this acoustic level- scary fine...

Bartender, Stolen Away, and Good Good Time are my favorites from this show as it was a great year I loved the two years of DMB acoustic/electric
Stefan just kills it on Crush. Love how he will improvise the bass line from time to time.
Loved this video! All the best!!

Thanks brah... positive vibes!
Thank you so much!!
What a set.
It's a shame that despite the fact this was recorded professionally, people still felt compelled to record it with their phones. PUT THEM DOWN AND DANCE!!
Very few people enjoy the moment anymore...it's far more tragic than they think...truly sad
Seriously! The resolution on the band is great! It's way better than on your phone. Just use your eyes - it's totally HD.

it's a real shame that the audio quality is so bad. I love listening to DMB live.
+joseph novak The audio was pretty crappy right off the stream. I enhanced it in any way I could but there's only so much you can do.
damn. they laying it out!
