It's mad how much this culture controls people in the areas. Of course for a lot of young kids who grow up around it, it's almost inevitable they'll get sucked in, or get left behind by their friends who start making fast money. At this point the only real way to stop the violence is to make drugs legal. If the gangs can't make money then they'll dissolve. Then young kids can use their talent in different ways instead of dying at 15/16 years old.

Its difficult to fix this but its not impossible, children really need to be shown at an earlier age in schools the graphic reality of road life and made to understand that its not cool followed by their career options and routes they can take in life to making legitimate cash pointed out to them. They can then create some sort of plan on how to achieve the goal of what they would like to do with there life as if you know what direction you are heading then it is more difficult for someone to distract you from your destination but if u are wondering around or loitering with no purpose then it becomes very easy to get mixed up in the wrong crowd and get lead down the wrong path

However there is issues with some of the young people and postcode bs. It never touched me directly other than a few burglaries. I definitely think there should be much bigger sentences for possessing a knife. I think it should be almost as severe as the sentence you would get for a gun. I’m not saying that everyone does the same thing but I know that when I was involved in that sort of shit, people would have a knife on them all the time coz they needed it for protection and they wouldn’t have a gun coz they didn’t want to risk getting stopped by the police with a gun coz they didn’t want to get five years and take that risk every time they leave the house. They would have a strap if they were going out to do a particular job but they would only take a knife out in case they bumped into the wrong people and they wouldn’t be too worried about getting caught with a knife coz the sentence would not be too much to make it not worth having on you on the road. I’m not saying that it’s like that for everyone but that’s what I used to see most of the time. I’m not trying to say I was into the same level of madness as these London lads but I’ve definitely seen my fair share of it. I can’t believe how easy it is for these young guys to go out and just kill somebody over gang stuff. It's mad how much this culture controls people in the areas. Of course for a lot of young kids who grow up around it, it's almost inevitable they'll get sucked in, or get left behind by their friends who start making fast money.
At this point the only real way to stop the violence is to make drugs legal. If the gangs can't make money then they'll dissolve. Then young kids can use their talent in different ways instead of dying at 15/16 years old.
They should give it as medication and get them weaned off the drugs. The policies are now outdated.

Its difficult to fix this but its not impossible, children really need to be shown at an earlier age in schools the graphic reality of road life and made to understand that its not cool followed by their career options and routes they can take in life to making legitimate cash pointed out to them. I definitely think there should be much bigger sentences for possessing a knife. I think it should be almost as severe as the sentence you would get for a gun. I’m not saying that everyone does the same thing but I know that when I was involved in that sort of shit, people would have a knife on them all the time coz they needed it for protection and they wouldn’t have a gun coz they didn’t want to risk getting stopped by the police with a gun coz they didn’t want to get five years and take that risk every time they leave the house. They would have a strap if they were going out to do a particular job but they would only take a knife out in case they bumped into the wrong people and they wouldn’t be too worried about getting caught with a knife coz the sentence would not be too much to make it not worth having on you on the road. I’m not saying that it’s like that for everyone but that’s what I used to see most of the time. I’m not trying to say I was into the same level of madness as these London lads but I’ve definitely seen my fair share of it. I can’t believe how easy it is for these young guys to go out and just kill somebody over gang stuff. Especially when they get people who ain’t even involved in that life but they mistakenly get someone who is nothing to do with it. Crazy man!
