is it compatible on plex app running through NVDIA shield tv (2109)? how about with HDR movies on plex will I encounter the same problem you've had with ps5? Great video by the way!
Could you bypass the vrr and hdr issue by using 2 video outputs from a pc gpu. For example one hdmi out to tv 120hz vrr hdr and second hdmi out to lytmi. I theory this would allow you to run hdr and vrr on the TV an lytmi should work as a second display and may allow vrr and hdr to be switched on this output only.
Is the change of hdmi input done automatically when you turn on a device? (example I have device 1 on and I turn on device 2, does the box automatically switch to input number 2 or must I do it manually via the application)?
I received mine today and will set it up at the weekend. I'm wondering if I have to change the source via the app or does it switch source when you activate one like pressing something on the remote for that source? I'll only have my PC, Nvidia shield and my TV box connected to it.
I recently purchased this product and have installed it today. Everything works except my PS5. I can't get a picture or signal to the TV passing through the box. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Is there a setting I have to change on the PS5 for it to work correctly?
Hey man, this splitter won’t solve the HDR or VRR issue described. What it does is allow me to switch from the port running to the box to a separate port on the TV itself. When switching to the TV port, you can’t use the ColorSync. So in those scenarios I rely on the T2 camera base system. Definitely keep an eye out on my video publishing tomorrow morning covering sync boxes
Game mode doesn’t seem to work with the box. I get a black screen. My sync box is connected to an s95b. Are there settings that I need to turn off? Or is it not necessary to turn on game mode?
With your HDMI splitter how does that resolve the HDR on the PS5? The splitter sounds like it would resolve a lot of issues with sync boxes that do not pass though HDMI 2.1.
When I want HDR & VRR (for example), I simply don’t push the signal through the box. I use the splitter to utilize the HDMI port on the TV itself. In those cases I use my camera TV, backlight set up for dynamic lighting, which doesn’t hinder performance in anyway being that it’s an external system. Again, HDR does work with the box, but color is thrown off, which sort of defeats the purpose.
@@MrTekSuggestI’m so confused on this splitter. Can someone please dumb it down for me? What do you mean by “camera TV”? There is no camera anywhere with Lytmi.
I will maybe switch to Govee T2 because it is so enjoying that HDR and Dolby Vision don't work properly with my LG C9. The support is sooo slow with answering. I fellow C9 User stated he got a preview firmware update for the Dolby Vision update but this picture got worse. Not the lights but the picture because with the update they downgrade from Dolby Vision Standard to Dolby Vision low latency. He don't use the lytmi anymore because the worse image with the box.
Nah there's still problems with the camera system. I have the previous lytmi kit and govee kit. I will always rather the lytmi kit because its far more accurate and on a dull day with my curtains open the, lytmi kit works perfectly whereas the govee kit shows white on the top left corne where the ambient light is coming in the window but not shining on my screen.
Is anyone able to help? I’m using this Lytmi Fantasy 3 with my Series X, and it plays things like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Video just fine, but every time I try to play a game I get a message that says, “weak or no signal”. I only get this message when I try to play a video game. I never got this message until I hooked up this Lytmi so I believe the Lytmi is the issue somehow. Does anyone know why I would be having this problem and how to fix it? Also, I have a Hisense U8H TV, and I’ve tried games like MW2, Read Dead 2, A Plague Tale Requiem, RE Village, and Atomic Heart, if it’s relevant. RD2 did come on once, but the Lytmi Fantasy 3 only showed green lights the entire time. Thanks in advance.
Can VRR support be updated via firmware? Also, does the lack of VRR support only pertain to backlight functionality, or does it also prevent the TV and console from utilizing VRR?
Pushing the signal through the box prevents the console and the TV from leveraging VRR. With my splitter set up I utilize a second HDMI cable from the splitter, to a port directly on the TV. (This allows me to get VRR, and all other features unsupported by the box) The Backlight will not work if the signal is not going through the box however. That is why I use a Second T2 Camera Backlight from Govee.
@@MrTekSuggest I appreciate your response! You got a follower out of it. This is unfortunate however. Is this something that can be patched via firmware update, or is this a hardware issue? Thanks again.

I have a Samsung UE65F9000 serie TV with HDMI 1.4, does it make any difference when i order a 2.0 or 2.1 HDMI version?
Dumb question, but do I have to connect my PS5 toh the lytmi hdmi box and from there to the TV? Or is this a separate out from the PS5?
I received mine today and will set it up at the weekend. I'm wondering if I have to change the source via the app or does it switch source when you activate one like pressing something on the remote for that source? I'll only have my PC, Nvidia shield and my TV box connected to it.
Hi just wondering can you run it through a AVR ?
I recently purchased this product and have installed it today. Everything works except my PS5. I can't get a picture or signal to the TV passing through the box.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Is there a setting I have to change on the PS5 for it to work correctly?
Great piece of kit. Shame it doesn’t go up to 120” ☹️
Can you provide us the details on HDMI splitter configuration?
Hey man, this splitter won’t solve the HDR or VRR issue described. What it does is allow me to switch from the port running to the box to a separate port on the TV itself. When switching to the TV port, you can’t use the ColorSync. So in those scenarios I rely on the T2 camera base system. Definitely keep an eye out on my video publishing tomorrow morning covering sync boxes
Game mode doesn’t seem to work with the box. I get a black screen. My sync box is connected to an s95b. Are there settings that I need to turn off? Or is it not necessary to turn on game mode?
What is link to the back drop behind the tv?
Thanks for you video . Do you know if this works with a amazon fire stick ??
I'd assume it works with any HDMI source
What size tv do you have?
Can I apply this to my samsung 65QN85B?
Does this allow Dolby Atomos?
Oh I'm getting this box
With your HDMI splitter how does that resolve the HDR on the PS5? The splitter sounds like it would resolve a lot of issues with sync boxes that do not pass though HDMI 2.1.
When I want HDR & VRR (for example), I simply don’t push the signal through the box. I use the splitter to utilize the HDMI port on the TV itself. In those cases I use my camera TV, backlight set up for dynamic lighting, which doesn’t hinder performance in anyway being that it’s an external system. Again, HDR does work with the box, but color is thrown off, which sort of defeats the purpose.
@@MrTekSuggest To clarify, VRR and HDR (color wise) work with a HDMI splitter correct?
@@NumairRana He is using the camera setup with the other hdmi cable :) So yes it must be
@@MrTekSuggestI’m so confused on this splitter. Can someone please dumb it down for me? What do you mean by “camera TV”? There is no camera anywhere with Lytmi.
List 9f all games being played please
How is this on the xbox series x what would you lose
I just bought a S95C 77” I heard that this might not work properly for the newer model TVs, I really want to buy one but i can’t afford to waste money
How do you like that s95c?
Does it support CEC?
I will maybe switch to Govee T2 because it is so enjoying that HDR and Dolby Vision don't work properly with my LG C9. The support is sooo slow with answering. I fellow C9 User stated he got a preview firmware update for the Dolby Vision update but this picture got worse. Not the lights but the picture because with the update they downgrade from Dolby Vision Standard to Dolby Vision low latency. He don't use the lytmi anymore because the worse image with the box.
Does anyone know if this sync box supports 1440p?
does it work on pc?
I mean they already fixed all the issues with a camera based setup. And now we're going back to all this limitations. Pointless if you ask me.
I mean they really haven't. Performance is clearly superior on the lytmi.
It's the best one yet but there's no VRR.
@@robertrussell4009 Good question, hard to call right now. My guess would be hardware. I’ve talked w/ Lytmi and I know that this issue among a few others are being looked into. But in terms of timing, it’s really hard to say. But it is a complicated matter, which is why other smart lighting brands in the space have not pulled it off to date.
@@MrTekSuggest I reached out to Lytmi and confirmed VRR to not be supported and would require a hardware update to remedy.
