I have that wd 2 tb elements purchased in 2014, when opening hard disk sentinel it is showing health is 10% that means it is going to die within 1 month. WD is not good for longevity. I have other 2 hdds from seagate and Toshiba from 2011 and 2015, they are having 100% health as of today.
WD ka HDD properly maintain na kiya jaye te jaldi kharab ho jata hai. Cheap quality material se banta hai. But properly maintained ho to salo chalta hai. Hamare Office me sare WD ka hi hai my passport wala But seagate durable hota hai bohut mere me dent aya gaya avi v properly work kar raha hai.

There is no protection film attached on display all you can do buy protector from online or go to watch repair shops and add protector on screen
