Really happy to see more people taking on Single Character Chaotix in some capacity, the game does witness some limitations that I have presented in extensive detail roughly Six Years ago but my stance still stands in that it makes for an effective alternative to what we got in the Retail Build and wishfully we'll witness future ROM hacks attempt to make use of and optimize it further, as there is genuine potential to expand its experience.
Now, when I did my sampler, there were a few key factors that can come up in Single Character that presently lack any kind of workaround:
~ The Combi~Ring is needed to access one Boss without Softlocking (Botanic Base V) and prevent Screen Wrap Crashes (Isolated Island: Practice Mode); the fact that this only affects less than 02% of the main game but in a critical way shows how much Chaotix could've done well in Single Character, kind of odd that there wasn't more where the Combi~Ring was mandatory for many things.
~ Amazing Arena IV cannot be completed without Debug Mode if you play as Knuckles, his Jump Height is integrated into the Pressure Spring that requires both members of the party and the platform near the First Light Button is simply not low enough for him to reach alone.
~ Player 02 is permanently locked into OHKO territory, thus running in Two Player Mode to prevent the Partner Character from moving will spare you a massive burden if they are in danger of getting hit offscreen and giving you a Game Over; Speed Slider and Newtrogic High's bosses bear the highest risk for Partner Damage, so temporarily mapping the controller to pilot both characters will prove beneficial.

Trying to load into the final boss room bugs out the cutscene, but also locks the player into the top right corner, so you can't complete it without debug mode.

@@MDTravisYT Definitely good to know, that is one of the only things that I didn't attempt when I tested out Single Character back then (with usage of Wechnia/Miles being the only other major thing I didn't do) and it makes me wonder why that would be the spawn point; my only guess would be that the Upper Right Corner is where the Lead Character spawns during the Zone Transition (Title Card), so it's probably using the same set of code for the start of the fight, that seems to be the most believable reason at first glance and would explain why it doesn't break every other zone at startup.
