The point about defense is so true. Even more so for defensive plays that aren’t highlights. No one shows a guy fighting over a screen and busting up a play because the offensive player was expecting a double team to open up a pass. No one shows perimeter defenders sending their man towards help or verticality to make a shot tougher. If they make the job harder for the offensive player, then it was just as effective as a steal or block but won’t get any attention.
