It's definitely fine to swim in. I use it for paddling out on my surf board. Is it super comfortable and efficient? Probably not. I don't know if they make a wetsuit that wouldn't add noticeable resistance to your paddling motions, particularly your upper arms. If you're racing and never worn a wetsuit just beware you will feel slower and more restricted!
Hmm not sure what you mean. It zips up and velcros in the back and stays on nice and snug. But it's a wetsuit so it's permeable and you will be wet. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

the inside seams are either glued and sealed keeping water out ,or flatlock seams let more water leak in.@@TyDollar
