- We get into a Civil War era stone liner privy behind an old saloon and end up digging a great figural bitters bottle in MINT condition! This video is "trimmed" a little less than most of our videos, but I wanted to give you viewers the full experience as if you were right there beside us! Hope you enjoy

I’m British. Our old houses had ‘outside toilets’ in Victorian times- but ours had a door at the rear, and once a week the ‘dustmen’ would come and shovel everything out. The rubbish & bottles and fireplace ash would all be thrown down the privy same as yours, but ours were all shovelled out and taken to a local tip and ‘tipped out’. I wish we had privy’s like yours!
They did that here too, but not as often I guess. Some towns more than others, as well. We refer to them as being "dipped". My friend who digs in Utica NY has dug many privies there that are completely empty. Luckily we have only run into that a handful of times in the towns we have dug in
Great dig fellas and great bitters....👍
Thanks Steve! Surprised such a large and thin bottle like that survived in this one. This put was very rocky and not much ash to cushion anything
Congrats on the bitters. To bad more whole didn't come whole. On to the next!

Thanks for watching Bryan! We always have a blast
That was awesome!
Thanks David! The quantity wasn't really there, but the quality sure was!
Clay pipes should have maker marks on the little stub on each side those go back to 1700s.
Well a big tree growing out of privvy soil would be the ultimate (yet prohibited) dig site !
Nice colored glass guys
Great dig as always. Could you please tell me the name of the song. Listened to a lot of their songs, but could not find this one. Thanks and keep cracking those pits open.
Thanks! This song is actually technically not released yet, but I was given permission to use it. I'm not sure when it will be officially released, but I can ask to find out. Glad you like it!
Looks like an interesting dunny hole
I’ve got a outhouse in my backyard your welcome to dig into- I’m almost certain I left a real gem yesterday morning for you to find.
LOL
I was always taught to put thing right back where they came from.
I’m willing to bet there is another pit in that yard along that fence line.
We checked, but we will be looking again
I have a proposal for you guys. How can I get a hold of you privately?

My dad and I are huge marble collectors. I branched out into the bottle and jar world here awhile back. I need to make a video and share my crazy collection.
Subbed! Nice dig fellas
Appreciate it!
Lancaster PA!? That's where I'm from.
Oswego Deep Rock Springs
Bummer they were broken
Do ya'll know what year the photo in your intro is from? There isn't a car in sight and you can pick out some of the outhouses in the back yards
Hey Danny I believe it's 1903! We've noticed that as well and plan on tackling the older houses in the area
you need to get a metal detector, you can get a cheap one from hobby lobby for about $75.00 dollars you might find money and other old coins from a place like that
We have them
They dads are also diggers…
Ryan's dad has been digging since the 60s/70s and has an amazing collection
