I really appreciate this shows honesty with all the preassure and expectations that come with the territory. Its even sadder the more real life examples we get like nezuko's voice actor fans getting pissed for her having a boyfrinend. Really wish those pleople who bring our fav charcters to life all the best😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
People getting mad over their favorite actress having a significant other is just pointless, Rie Takahashi had the same issue and it's amazing that there are people who are that much of simps can't appreciate what's best for them and only for themselves.
@@danielsantiagourtado3430 I may have a crush on Rie Takahashi, Rie Tanaka, Saori Hayami, Sawashiro Miyuki, etc. However I'm not gonna get mad over them having BFs or Married, it's a shame but that's life.
I've always disliked the entertainment industry for almost every reason shown in Oshi no Ko. That's why I love this anime. It's very disgusting that the entertainment industry get special privileges that other businesses don't get. Most infamously, that the producers get to pick exactly who get to be winners directly. In other industries, you can be sued for being too favorable to specific individuals, groups, or going against a proper meritocratic system. This allows a "favor" system to develop. Favors commonly meaning sexual favors, meaning you have to sleep with higher ups to get the best parts. It is well known that in Hollywood, there are many reports of both men and women having to "service" their bosses to get the best parts for movies, parts, and shows. I find this absolutely unforgivable.
One of the later arcs actually talks a bit about this “servicing” known as the scandal arc……. Only read more if you are caught up with the book. I remember vividly the panic and anger people had towards that guy for doing that to Kana in exchange for a movie role and then the “oh no” moment when she was photographed by paparazzi leaving his house with tears in her eyes.
I think a lot of people have a hard time separate the two but I’ve always been brought up just to be polite to people regardless of if I know them or not.
I'll be honest... I didn't expect you to have some real talk here. It's a welcome surprise and quite inspiring. I'm an aspiring author and have been trying my hand on content creation for about 2 years now (using a different account from this one). Barely any luck in getting viewers but I met quite a great set of friends along the way. I'm the same as you man... I relate really well to Kana. This video gave me some food for thought. Thank man. Keep up the great videos
Being a small RUclipsr myself, I really like how open you are in this video! Learning what comments to care and what not to is a key to success in platforms like this.
It's really upsetting that you tubers and celebrities have to go through all this. The RUclipsrs I'm subscribed to, celebrities and writers have said or done somethings that rubs me the wrong way or upset me, but I would never go as far as write a negative comment about them and cause them emotional or physiological pain. That's cyber bullying. Nobody likes to hear negative criticism. We are all humans who can feel all types of pain, who have our own insecurities and who have our own personal lives and families.

Since the rise of the internet, people can express their opinion on the web without understanding the consequences of their actions. Fantastic video as always man. 1:50 that line is so true and its just one of the hard truths of the world. We all lie sometimes, its just a part of life, specially in the enterteiment world, just gotta make sure that our lies dont make others worse off.
Thank you for sharing your experience and insight. This was a really nice video! I don't use social media much at all, so I was uncertain how much of what was in Oshi No Ko was an exaggeration. One point that I did notice recognize was the RUclips collab thing. One of my favorite RUclipsrs, Corpse Husband, blew up BIG TIME when he collabed with Pewdiepie! He always had his distinctive traits that drew people in, but his content was niche. Once he was on a platform that reached a wider audience, he became gained a huge following! That's the only example I know of a small channel becoming big through a collab, but that's the scenario I thought of when they mentioned it in the show!
there was an irl example of a colab blowing up a channel. Gura did a collab with Kaela; Kaela had been the forgotten girl in holoID 2nd gen, her two genmates zeta and kobo had instant success but kaela really struggled to get anyone watching her. Prior to her collab with gura, kaela regularly streamed to
It's interesting for me to watch videos like this cuz ever since I was a kid and I watched RUclips videos I wanted to make my own RUclips channel but then after watching RUclips over the years I lost my dream of making RUclips videos instead satisfied just by watching them but then I found a certain genre of RUclips video that particularly interested in me I spend a lot of time playing video games and I like getting really good at them as much as I can so when I saw RUclips channels that have thier entire career based off of their gaming skill it inspired me again to make my own RUclips channel so that I can use all the time I spent playing video games for something more productive so to speak as well as wanting to make people feel the same way I felt when watching those videos so I am thinking of getting whatever I need to record video games on my Nintendo switch so I can start making videos which I plan my videos to be a blend of me talkin enemy trying to get better at my gaming skills until I get good enough at either talkin or gaming to hold an audience they also have a lot of free time and because I'm mostly play videogames all day anyway I think it should be pretty easy for me to make videos but of course the hard part will be for me to get people to watch them but I'm confident that if I'm persistent enough at least I will be able to get a small audience and maybe go up from there so I can make a living off of my videos. I'm sorry this comment was so long I mostly wrote this for myself but if you're still reading this comment thank you for reading it I was mostly thinking out loud anyway so it's okay if you don't like it or if no one reads this since I must have wrote this for myself.
Some moments from Oshi No Ko remind me of Spider-Man's moments. Like the similar problems that Kana and Miles face, Aqua and Ruby's Uncle Ben moment and other things. Although, that's just me.
Great video. Actually I bit of Otaku in everything Japanese. But my dad got me started. He was stationed in Japan when he was in the military back in the 50s. Yeah I'm an old anime fan especially with astroboy and the original space battleship Yamato also known as Starblazers in the 1970s
I do agree the entertainment industry as it currently is, definitely is absolutely horrible plus the people who do it sometimes suffer greatly because of various factors such as people they are trying to get a job from being a horrible human being or because of the fan bases comments on them. on top of that normally no one wants to be told there doing a bad job at something especially if they enjoy doing that thing. In addition to that while I personally feel like saying certain things such as insults about them as well as especially what happened after Ai death is very bad That said there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to say something about the quality of someone’s work as long as it isn’t for malicious purposes for example saying how Ai smile seemed fake feels like a acceptable comment and genuine criticism since you are trying to get the person to improve there product by saying that Because in the end the entertainment industry is selling you a product so commenting on the quality of the product they are selling you is fair game in my opinion.
