would love to know how this has worn... I ordered a sample of this exact product for the very same purpose and went to town on it with a bread knife and a lighter... it didn't fair well so I gave up the idea. Would love to hear positive feedback and be able to go forward with it!
yeah, but its the very typical and often found, functional boat-cushions, which they used, but in a higher quality i guess. On a moving boat, everything moves around, needs to be adjustable and able to swing around, which this clearly does not offer. None the less, a very beautifull living space. But it does look a little bit cold, also...
Hans Blond ah you’re right, didn’t think of that. Just overall the living room + dining room felt very impersonal. I didn’t get the impression they’d be moving the boat too much.
I'm not so sure that small living within urban cities is going to have the positive impact that everyone seems to think it will have. All it really does is enable companies and manufacturers to cram more people into a smaller radius. Instead of 30 apartments in one complex, it'll be 50 apartments in one complex. Meanwhile, if the living quarters are centralized, you can bet your bottom dollar that prices will still be sky high. So now, instead of 700 sq. ft of living space (or whatever measurement is being used) for $1200, you're getting only 400 sq. ft for $1000. Many places throughout Asia are prime examples of this.
People living in boats have always blown my mind, when I first heard about that I was amazed and I ended up watching tans and tans of boats remodeling, this is one of the cutest houseboat I've seen. I'm in love with the palette she used because it makes me feel very peaceful which is essential after spending all-day working. Also, the storage is very cautious which helps to have a spatial continuity. ❤️❤️
theoneandonlyAeth someone who has that kind of money to spend on a boat most probably already has the million dollar house as well. I can see beauty of the boat but it is so very pretentious.
@@radioclash84 yeah no doubt it's a beautiful boat but the whole concept of a houseboat is to save in expenses so it's kinda fucky spending that much to live semi uncomfortably
What a lovely example of both tiny living and off-grid 'van life'... I have watched a million van builds and a few get close, but this is so beautifully styled. I've never understood American caravan 'designers' (loose term) who love oversized furniture, fake fireplaces and a propensity for heavy brown timbers. The whitewashed Douglas Fir in this application is an inspired choice.
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
As a (narrow) boat dweller myself, I love this channel for getting ideas and inspiration for better use of the space I have. I appreciate seeing a wide beam. (There's a couple at our Marina) But this video doesn't cover heating? I have a log burner, so could never keep everything so white and spotless thanks to soot!
I love how aesthetic all your videos are, and the houses, the apartments and everything is so similar in each video but different in each place and form, I really love and enjoy watching your videos keep doing this :)
This is really nice. It's refreshing to see architects focus on function as much as form and this firm has nailed it. I work at university who seem to hire architects totally focused on form and sacrificing function to 'looking trendy'. Well done 31/44.
That looks amazing. So clean and uncluttered, there's something serene about it. It would be lovely to have the money to commission an architect to design one's permanent living space but I don't think many people do that.
That is the best interior refurbishment I have ever seen. The kitchen cupboards are excellent, as is the shower location (although we never saw that bit), and the back door looking like a window is an excellent inclusion, with the little step, wonderful. Serene and out the way? Great 👍

Brilliant, thank you

I started with one video & now I'm binging the entire channel.
All of them are so pleasing.
Relateable
same here. don't know why but very interesting!
@@maartenblokdijk wtf me too jansns
same, can't stop
Yeah me too
Calm, Clean and minimalist. Perfect!!
I loved it but would’ve liked seeing the shower and the bathroom more. The bedroom is super cozy, living room could’ve been cozier.

yes the toilet, and in general its sewage, how will it be maintain
@cyberaddictful ~ I couldn’t see if the toilet was a cassette type, but suspect it’s porcelain on a black water tank...stored under the bed?
I assume that there is a city water and sewer connection.
I have seen this barge down at the docks and wondered what it looked like inside, well now I know 😎
Small houses could revolutionise city living, I just hope they have great noise separation.
Noise is after light smog the biggest sickness of our society's wich nobody talks about!
Sound proofing isn't hard.

That womans voice is incredibly soothing

Very pretty. Love the 'quiet' look. Thanks for showing it.
feels way bigger than 40sqm! amazing!
This is one of the most stunning transformations of a barge I've ever seen! Congratulations on such a fantastic job!
Loved the discrete storage.
For those who were wondering:
- price £ 290.000
($ 355.000 € 325.000)
- mooring fee £ 15.750 ($ 19.350 € 17.700)
This is quite costly, i can't afford it...Will take the designs to my local carpenter for fabrication.
If they paid 290k for that boat, they were rinsed. 150k tops.
hahaha To think that you'd pay 1300 pound rent in boat you bought for 300k so you can live close to the city. Mad

Drink whenever she say the word "discreetly"
Respectable AF i counted 4
Hahahahaha
or "whilst" lmao
I love her voice. It’s such calm
My strong memory from childhood. This water house remind me about old series "Higlander".
I love these barge !
2:56 everything is perfect, except the way the toiletsheet was hung up...
OMG. You are right. I hate this house now.
Joke

Using recycled yogurt pots was genius! This was a lovely tour. Thank you!
Wow! This is beautifully done. Brilliant. I absolutely love it!!!

This is the best boat i've ever seen, perfect honeymoon destination out in the ocean...Damn it i need one!!
Kayondo Thomas you can’t take this boat out in the ocean 🤣🤣🤣
It's a Canal boat.
Quickest way to drown is to take it out on the ocean. Even going down the Thames you are risking your neck!
Girl needs to stay on as a narrator
dafunkdafunk so calming and sophisticated
My god yes! Someone give her her own show!
Do you think she's happy. I think she is too much in getting everything stylized.
omg nooooo her voice is so boring.
Yes her voice is so calm for ASMR too
loving the minimalism so stoked to catch this video within the first 10mins of upload!
Beautiful - very peaceful and calming . Clean lines and lovely decor. Safe travels !
Love the mention of sustainability ! I hope more architects implement more sustainability choices in their design
Best ever house with unique character , worth every penny spent.

It has underfloor heating throughout.
perhaps the best looking boat home I have ever seen. Thanks.
Her voice,had me captivated,gorgeous.
White washed douglas fir... This attention to detail is why I love tiny houses!
I just did whitewashed Plywood that looks just like that....
Classy perfection. Puts the multi million dollar boat interiors to shame with its simplicity.
There ya go, a good winter on board, full time. Spring will be happy to see ya.
Only thing I can say is, absolutely beautiful. This is one amazing boat.
Stunning. By far the best interior design for a barge I’ve seen.
I love how aesthetic all your videos are, and the houses, the apartments and everything is so similar in each video but different in each place and form, I really love and enjoy watching your videos keep doing this :)
Wow.... Just wow. These people did a fantastic job on this boat.
omg im in love with the design of this boat, everything is beautifully done!

Watching this was very calming to watch
WOW!!!! sooo beautiful!!! Thumbs up! Kind regards
As a future architect, I admire each of your works. Greetings from France
Love the concept. Love the shots, the editing, the music selection, the sound mix! Everything! Perfect! Keep it!
"Richer".. that is the perfect word to describe smaller living, i have been missing.
Stunning interior,flawless!!!!!!.

Really lovely design, and great use of space. The best "never too small" home I've seen featured.
beautiful! Simple, opened, and thoughtful.I wanted to see the bathroom, closet and more.
Shear genius! I love the feeling of space you have given your boat.
What a fabulous modern twist on a narrowboat home! Love it
An excellent example of..
The wisdom of simplicity- The luxury of efficiency.
Serene is the defintely what this house boat represents! Lovely !
This is absolutely beautiful.
In creating a "minimalist" space, there is actually a gorgeous amount of living space.
Gorgeous !!
More than lovely and adorable to imagine that you would really live in such a totally designed boat with esthetics.... talent.
The total cost of the boat is USD a half million?? Yeay I need one🌸💡✈️
I love this. Beautiful simplicity. Amazing location.
Beautiful! Love the recycled countertop material! Great idea!
THAT WAS THE MOST PERFECT DESIGN!
Beautiful, floating home. So clean, & modern.
i might have to say this is the best design yet so far that i have seen in this channel 🙈😍❤💞💗💞👉👈
I like to see it when it's been lived in for at least a year
1:21 The « feature » cured me from the coronavirus. I swear I’ve never heard such a satisfying word being said.
That is the best interior refurbishment I have ever seen. The kitchen cupboards are excellent, as is the shower location (although we never saw that bit), and the back door looking like a window is an excellent inclusion, with the little step, wonderful.
Serene and out the way?
Great 👍
I could definitely live here because it says calmness. I'm convinced, I need to move outside the US.
That sliding pantry is a cool idea.
This is so serene even just watching it made me feel calm
Stunning. I love this channel. it's changing my mind about not buying a 300,000 house and spent 100,000 (or less) on this
Well I have to say this barge is absolutely beautiful and huge respect to you both Paula 65 in Sussex
So pretty. I would love to hear if they ever move the boat around, exploring the canal network? A different town each week would be so cool.
Hello to everyone. My personal opinion it's best small "apartment" which i have been seen before and wonderful city in the world.
Now I am determined to live on the waters! Thanks to this video
Love this boat, everything on it is so well thought out. I work nearby and St Katharine's Dock is one of London's best little "secrets".
Wow, I love everything about this boat. Stunning xx
Omg, seen it so many times, never thought it was so lovely!
Never thought I'd want to live in a house boat until now
