how have you found the wheels....i'm keen to get some of the Sam Hill versions.....the reviews seem good...

I’ve ridden them 4 seasons now. HARD. There is not that much i’ve had to do to them. Spokes have never come loose. I have trued the rear up once but that was just me being over cautious. One bearing change. I’ve smashed them into stuff and just scratches. No dents! And i dont use inserts. They are bombproof! The only thing i dont like is the freehub engagement.. If you get them, be sure to get spare spokes for front and rear. I’ve not had to use them but if you are on a trip somewhere and a spoke goes, i can guarantee you nobody will have a mavic spoke spare

@@ShreddingBliss Thanks for the feedback, great to hear a follow up after a few seasons, really adds to the review.
Do you have any idea if there is much difference between the standard Deemax and the Deemax Pros? The pro version is twice the price but they both look pretty similar visually at least

@@fionnut I do know that the Pro is beefier. Perhaps not so much in terms of weight (although a bit) but the Pros are indeed the bombproof ones - beefier spokes etc. I have heard of people having issues with the regular Deemax - broken spokes, bent rims etc. So, if you feel like you need a rim that is excellent and can take an absolute beating, Pro is your best bet. If you’re more mellow riding and Down Country / trail, I am sure the regular Deemax will be just fine.

@@ShreddingBliss Thanks a mill, was looking for something more durable than my stock wheels so will save the pennies towards the pros in that case. Thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated and love the channel!

I was looking to buy the same set of Wheelset! I wasn’t sure about the ID360 hubs. Do you like them? I was debating between the Mavic Deemax Pro and the Raceface Turbine R.

The Mavic Pros are awesome! Love the hubs too. And a massive upgrade from my previous hubs which got beat to sh*t

Nice video. Could you please give us an update after one year of use of these rims? I have read mixed reviews regarding the the hubs on Mavic wheels. What was your experince? Thank you, Gabriel.

Nothing but praises from me! I've been rising them super hard and haven't really had to do anything to them. I do keep an eye that spokes are ok and no play in hub - so far so good, after one full year of riding. Probably the only thing I will need to do (but not yet) is replace the bearings, but that should be straight forward. I did by spare spokes, just in case, as they are hard to find and if I am on a trip somewhere, I will take them with me

Do you have any creacking noise by bladed spokes?
