A really striking design, it looks good from so many angles, and what a transformation from the upright van/pickup they started with. The design looks as fresh today as it did sixty years ago, not dated at all.
it's so insane, I love it.
Wow, I had one of these as a little kid. I didn't know this was a real concept car.
Likewise!
Didn't know it had a slant 6, what a let down, the 273 V8 was available , i believe. I still have my deora hot wheels, unfortunately I lost both of the surf boards 50 years ago.
Great to look at. Anything advanced about the Engineering?
The most unique aspects I found were the design behind the seats and the way to enter the truck. I didn't see anything particularly new about the engineering, But I think it had potential with a better door system.
Immortalized in a Hot Wheels car.
I think I had that Hot Wheels car as a kid, too!
I would buy that right now if I could find one for a decent price, especially if it was all wheel or 4 wheel drive.
Agreed, seems like a much more useful truck bed setup for normal hauling. Lower to the ground and less cab in the way.
Why.....?
Better than the Cyber truck!
