    osphronemus are definitely my favourite fish. also realised your pink gourami are full white. i have seen places selling the osphronemus goramy pink form with orange faces, quite interesting

    These gouramis are so cool. I finally acquired a 2” Osphronemus. I hope it turns out as nice as yours. Thanks for sharing

      I'm sure it will turn our much nicer in a semi natural pond and in sunlight.

    I love these giant Gurami I once had one it was maybe a foot long I lost it along with a couple of large catfish when I lost electricity mid winter while I was away that wasn’t a nice day to return to my lovely fish Lost I shall have another now I have my new tank 👍☹️

      I'd suggest to think it through well. GGs can be intolerant of tank mates or just be aggressive or assertive in a 220 gal. In 2200 gal it'd be no problem.

      All three points are agreeable. They do breath a lot of air.

    Male gouramis have a pointy top fin
    Female curve top fin

      Thank you much. Does this go for all species? All of our redtails have pointy top fins and it is far harder to tell for the osphronemus, common and pink, and also elephant ear, albeit there could be discernible differences, just not obvious.

      @@Fish-Story if i remember correctly the red tail gouramis cant get sexed based on the shape of the top fins. quite sure the different shaped fins only goes for osphronemus goramy and maybe exodon

      @Fish-Story  Год назад

      @@lagthical9867 Thank you. I didn't know about the top fins being a consistent sexual trait. I thought people usually go by the nuchal hump and also coloration esp. for RTGG whose males have strong red/orange fin edges while females not at all or barely visible.
