      diels alder For every story Taylor had I had probably 40 other ones. Awful management, horrible working conditions, rigid corporate “sales” bullshit, etc. if you know how to shop for a used car and know what to look for I would say buying an old rental car isn’t the worst thing. Just know that due to the fact that rental car companies are constantly running out of cars at off airport locations and scarcely have enough for the reservations they had lol. I’ve had to put cars maybe 100 miles away from an oil change on a month or multi month rental because we just didn’t have any other cars at the time. That plus Hertz used to send a bunch of 2WD SUV’s to a place where you need 4WD in the winter.

      Been with Enterprise for five years now. I have so many stories about some of the incompetent morons they end up hiring who make it to management. Just as bad is the old people customers who are always in a bad mood(Karen's and Ken's)and think everything you do is somehow because your an idiot who is out to fuck them a complete stranger for some reason.

    • @fenderdaw
      @fenderdaw 4 года назад

      I made it one year at Enterprise. It's the definition of clawing your way to middle management. You kiss ass, work a ton, make $30k a year, you have to make collections calls, scam people for extra insurance they don't need, lie more than you ever though you would have to, suck your tie into a shop vac at least once a week, and watch the sun rise and set from the same shitty seat 5 or 6 days a week.

      Our front door at our Hertz branch had so many marks and scuffs on it from the inside out that people started to notice and point it out to us. The reason for the marks: the sheer number of people that either punched or kicked our door in frustration and hatred on their way out of our branch. I have hundreds of stories just as insane as Taylor's if not worse.

Meaning if it was in the winter and people were heading to the mountains, if they didn't ask if a car was AWD or 4WD, our policy was to not tell them if it wasn't and it was only FWD :D needless to say people got stuck every now and again because the stupid asshole company sent up SUV's from Texas, Arizona and New Mexico where they have no need for 4WD. We also received a bunch of passenger vans from out of state for a local university's engineering department trip only to discover that they were FILLED with broken glass and trash and shit, we spent hours making sure those things were actually cleaned.

We had to squeeze out the service intervals of cars because we were CONSTANTLY out of vehicles so we would have to put a car that was maybe 100 miles from an oil change out on a multi month rental (by rolling back the mileage in the computer of course). At our branch we had to clean all of the cars, which in and of itself was a task because the branch had a minimum of about 130 cars in the fleet at any given time (and white women love to bring their dogs in the car with them so you can just imagine how awful cleaning some cars can be). We had a brand new Yukon XL return one time with the carpet of the 2nd and 3rd rows not even visible because of all the dog hair that was covering the carpet. I had to put a few foreign students from the local university that were maybe 5 foot 4 into a massive Escalade because that was literally the only car we had left. We put people into massive 12 passenger vans and cargo vans a lot for the some reason. And god forbid a hail storm happened, the world might as well have been over. The day after a big one we had 3 phone lines ringing off the hook (probably every minute and a half or 2).

    My dad was a mechanic and one day he takes out this car for a road test after he fixed it to test if it works and he's stops at a red light and a tech-9 slides out of underneath the seat so he pushed it back with the sleeve on his shirt and pretend he never saw it

    I'm confused on why the focus is hating on the customers and not the moronic corporate heads that don't know what the word reservation means

      Because regardless of who's fault it is, dealing with the public is an awful job. Most people are entitled morons and are awful to deal with.

    I don't believe that the smoker/non-smoker wasn't actually putting his cigarette out in the seats themselves. I think those burn spots must be from when he has his window open to drop off the excess ash gets blown back in the car instead.

      Ashes would’ve left tiny dots on upholstery, cigs leave holes.

      when youre fucked up and smoking on a car you tend to drop your cig from your mouth to the seats and making a mess in the process
