Elle has been doing so much since she's come out 20 years ago. She's in her early 60's now and she's losing touch with the LGBT community a bit. I knew that when she told Janet that she never knew of her until recently. As much as an influence Ellen has been there are many others that she can pass the torch to.

POSE is amazing. The writing, visuals, directing, drama, everything is impeccable. And I'm really glad that I got this chance to know more about this group of people that I didn't know too much about.

I am so happy there are people out there help us all be more understanding. We also need to tell the kids that not everyone feels like they need a gender change. I've started to see more and more kids confused on if they should be questioning their gender and who they like. It's okay to stay a boy if you are born a boy. It's okay to stay a girl if you are born a girl. But of course it's okay to make a change if it feels right.

Wow she really looks amazing. I think for trans people is very important to start transitioning before the puberty hits. They will be happier with how they will look for the rest of their life, cause I have notice the later you transition the harder it is.
While we definitely should increase access to care for trans youth so that they have the option to transition early, let's not push stereotypes that transgender people need to pass as the gender they identify as. Some trans people choose not to do hormones or surgery, and their identities are just as valid as someone who does.
That's ignorant. There are plenty of cisgender people who don't necessarily look like their assigned gender. There are some cisgender people who are androgynous regardless of puberty. Transitioning isn't about "looking" like their assigned gender. Transitioning is about aligning their bodies with their assigned gender. There are plenty of masculine "looking" cisgender women. There are plenty of feminine "looking" cisgender men.

I believe everyone should live their truth -- but I don't think kids should be reassigning their gender identity. Children are very fluid -- more so than society sometimes wants them to be.

Lets b honest....they only reason ahe has been so socially accepted is bc she 'looks' feminine. This is the problem
Good looking people has ALWAYS had the upper hand in society. It hasn't gotten her there by itself. She has worked hard and went to college.
She literally has acknowledged that! Even on the show they talk a lot about “passing” and how those who pass get way more opportunities than those who don’t.
She acknowledges that in the beginning of her book Redefining Realness, and is a real advocate for all trans people, not just the pretty ones.
Without make up, hairstyle and medicines they must take for life I doubt any would pass.
I do want to come out of the closet , ... but no ..... it won't happen
