Uh, I really like the idee of getting a present for the person who gave birth and not only gifting presents for the baby. I have to rembemer this for the times my friends get pregnant:)
I try and get something for both parents. And something for the baby that can be used up, so they don’t end up with more rubbish cluttering the nursery up.
I usually get prepared meals delivered/frozen for the parents - this means they have nutritious meals for those days that cooking is the last thing on their mind.
Love watching your clothing videos! Don't feel too bad about your sudden shopping splurge - I think for people who don't shop often, this happens because when there IS a change (in season, or a life event) we are actually under-prepared! You clearly NEEDED more clothes to fit a different body and circumstance in your life. I put off shopping for so long that suddenly I run out of things to wear that don't have holes in them - which isn't actually a good approach. I think if I added things more gradually, it would be far more sustainable.
As a person who is picky and a odd size I definitely have huge variations in amount I buy and I’ve been trying to not feel guilty about it. There can about yrs where I bought 2 items and years where I’ll get loads, It massively depending on the current style trends. I will wear and wear items for years and years and fix them till they disintegrate. I really need some new trouser at the moment and currently none of them fit at the moment so there is much darning and fixing of the current stuff.
Wow ! I feel this. Recently i graduated from a school where i exercised 40h a week (dancer here), and now am much more of a normal human. Took me some time to realise my wardrobe needed to keep up with that change as well
@@TessaOswin same! I feel like sometimes fashion trends flatter my figure the way I like, and sometimes they absolutely do not. I bought TONS of pants when high-waisted stuff came into style, and now that low-waisted stuff is creeping back in I probably won't buy any for a very long time. Not the best for my wallet in the short-term, but I think it helps me buy less clothes long-term because I only buy stuff I actually like.
I just think it's up to the Individual, and people should definitely NOT be made to feel guilty for purchasing clothes, or anything else for that matter. It's noones business. It saves NOTHING, Worldwide as you wear trash, and Millionaires the World over will still fly Private Planes and Helicopters and drive mega millions worth in Huge cars!!! Wake up....... Wearing clothes and darning them until they are rags is ridiculous in this day and age.The Victorians did that in the slums, for goodness sake. I will buy what and when I like. I will NEVER wear anybody else's cast offs from a Thrift shop!!. I do give garments to them but that's because they are spotlessly clean and in Perfect, as good as new condition!! People, STOP donating clothes that are only fit for the bin, it's offensive and disrespectful to the Thrift shop customers. Also, their prices are now on a par with Primark, yet you STILL opt to wear choose others rubbish!!? MADNESS.....You do you, I'll do me 😂
The thumbnail and cutaway clips for this video are excellent 😂 I can't stand clothing features that are just decorative, probably from a lifetime of Fool's Pockets on so much of women's clothing, so I'm very glad that you were able to find stuff with zippy zippers and pockety-pockets and DRESSES WITH POCKETY-POCKETS. I would be super into an autumn/winter version of this, if only to see those floral trousers getting every possible opportunity to shine. Would you ever consider doing a haul of Rowan's outfits, perhaps minus Rowan and just the clothes in order to respect his low internet profile? Baby outfits are so delightful and always make me wish that they came in adult sizes.
I’m surprised you didn’t like the blue dress, it looks absolutely stunning on you! I’ve been breastfeeding for 2.5 years (currently tandem nursing my 2.5 year old and 10 month old) so a lot of my clothes have spent that long in storage 😅 I got a few clothes secondhand that have a kind of cross-cross V-collar, so you can easily whip a boob out. In autumn, the easiest by far to avoid new purchases is tank tops that you just pull down, with any t-shirt, long-sleeved tee, or jumper that you pull up. That’s also the best choice to tandem nurse without either stretching out your collar or getting a cold back/belly by completely undressing yourself 😂
Would absolutely love watching another video about 1. The autumn winter breastfeeding wardrobe and 2. An overall how your style changes/changed after awhile of you being a mum :)
Buying one or two items from unethical brands that you know you’ll get a lot of wear out of should totally be normalised and not judged. There’s a big difference between this and doing massive shein hauls 😅 also realistically most people can’t afford for every item of their clothing to be from the sustainable brands. It all comes back to doing your best but also being realistic 😊
I 100% got myself a new wardrobe for breastfeeding in. With my first kid I feel like I didn't go all in because I wanted to be economical and practical and yadda yadda. But I bought nursing clothes during a 3am breastfeeding session while crying because everything was SO hard and I haven't looked back. Currently have my second kid and 95% of the items in my closet right now are nursing clothes. I wear them every single day because I feed my baby every single day and it has just drastically improved my life and the way I feel about myself and about breastfeeding. 10/10 would recommend. Also, yes it is a financial investment but if you can buy thrifted or even not, you don't wear them nearly as long as other clothes and they are so niche. So the resale value is a lot higher than other clothes.
I actually really liked that yellow jacket on you! Maybe not your typical look, but it think it suited you. The thing I’m most stressed about with pregnancy at the moment (hoping to get pregnant in the next year) is all of the different clothes you need. I love these videos!
This was so helpful for me! My first baby is due the same time Rowan was but in 2023! I immediately bought the Lucy and yak pants. I just know I’ll get so much use out of them. I would love an autumn version of this video!
Amazing video. As a newly pregnant, high waist + crop top kinda person I needed this right now. I’ve always been very thin, used to crop tops + tight, flat, high waisted non stretchy denim, so I’m learning to love my body with a belly. 95% of my wardrobe suddenly just doesn’t fit. Please do make an autumn version too! And those “WHAck a tit out” just made my day 🤣
Pretty sure when Jessie & Claud talked about some clothes from JoJo Maman Bebe they said it the same way 😆 That yellow cropped cardi/jacket thing looks really good on you…hopefully you’ll get some good wear out of it now the weather is starting to turn!
Would love to see the winter version too! Not sure it's your vibe but if it were me, I'd try layering your breastfeeding dresses with an oversized button up cropped cardigan, or cropped jumper :)
I totally get that you get the frumpy vibes from that dress, I've often felt similar in h&m dresses. After I while I realized it is because the fabric is so thin and the shape a bit odd that it comes across as a hospital gown.
For fall and winter i Highly recommend nursing tanks under oversized sweaters, cardigans or sweatshirts. It's super simple to lift and feed.... the top acts like a nice nursing cover and your belly is still covered by the nursing tank underneath. Stretchy v-neck long sleeve shirts are good too.
I think the white dress with black looks dots looks really cute on you! I agree with you that the blue short dress is not my fav but only one regret in a haul is not bad! I'd love to see your autumn/winter version of this too. ☺️
YES. 11 weeks postpartum now and have been going through my clothes. Was able to get two of my fav long flowy dresses modified with a zipper down the front or sides so yay boob access. Also lucky a few of my dresses and tops had buttons down the front, phew. I feel like ppl make a big thing of pregnancy clothing etc and not being able to wear their usual clothes, but Breastfeeding friendly clothing is a whole another thing, for as long if not likely lots Longer than being heavily pregnant
All very cute! I think the polka dot dress might benefit from a black belt or sash? On the other hand, I really like the light blue dress that's also not your favorite. Like I said, cute!
Having to figure out a new wardrobe myself now. Had my baby at 32 weeks and she’s in the NICU, which means we’re doing daily skin to skin time and I’m having to pump 8-10 times a day. I very quickly found out I don’t have much in my wardrobe that easily works for my new life as a NICU mom. So far investing in pumping bras and lose fitting button downs has been a life saver. (Plus a pair of super soft cozy joggers to wear while recovering from my c-section)
For autumn breast feeding I like breast feeding tank tops with comfy shirts/jumpers over top. Up with the shirt, clip down the tank top and you’re feeding!
BLUE DYE TIP! if there is no elastic in it you can put it in a mixture of Vinegar and water over night and then wash it it helps to set the colour pigment.
It is a pleasure to watch your videos and I would like to express my dearest congratulations to you. Clothing is kind of an experimental thing. You be able to mix-n-match things. Yellow is a strong color. However, it is suitable to wear with the other primary colors or colors that are like unto it. Happy experimenting
I had my baby in winter and wore a lot of shirts and cardigans but that I feel was a mistake because I got so cold when feeding. I now have a lot of feeding vests, they weren't cheap but it means that I can go back to wearing normal tops and jumpers and pull them up without getting too cold rather than having a cold chest
That miniskirt, feather vest and cardi is a great combo!!!! 100% rock those miniskirts again! Omg that jumpsuit is amazing too particularly that it zips up it is the best feeling ever when something like that zips!!! Clearly the og owner had the same figure as you
The blue dress you don’t love, I’d try dying it was a warm colour and see if you love more! It quite a cool toned blue for you so I don’t think that helps but it suits you and looks great! 🧡
With my first child, I quickly decided I preferred top + trousers/skirt (instead of a dress) when breastfeeding for access and style reasons. Just had my second baby and it's the same this time. Pre-pregnancy, I liked elasticated high-waisted pants and thankfully these were just as comfortable post-partum!
To prevent your overalls from bleeding dye. Just wash it in vinegar and add 1/4 cup salt to your wash water. It should stop it from bleeding next time you wash your clothes
This is such perfect timing thank you!! Having just had my first baby last week, and being in New Zealand we are heading into summer so this is ideal 😊
Winter is amazing for breastfeeding because a cami + giant (button-up or open-front) oversized jumper with sleeves is perfect for autumn anyway. Cami can pull down or lift up. Sweater offers some coverage.
Absolutely love the little blue dress, surprised you don’t like it! Always love your fashion videos, I’m not much of a clothes shopper either so I’ll live vicariously lol
Maybe dyeing the white polka dot dress will give it a new life? I feel like bright colours don’t give frumpy vibes (I don’t think it’s frumpy but ye just a suggestion) :)
Love this! I had to get a lot of new clothes, mostly dresses as that's what I like to wear. I've had my second baby thus year and though I didn't have to get anything but lots of my postpartum stuff I had saved didn't fit or was the wrong season because the stuff I needed straight after birth was too thick. I think I'm finally in a place where I am happy with what I have but I did find it difficult as someone that tries not to buy loads of clothes and has spend time having a functional wardrobe to then have nothing that to wear and a new baby that made it hard for me to go to the shops and a changing body that made it hard to work out online sizes.
I’m pregnant with baby3 & with 3 under 4, I have basically been BFing &/or pregnant for nearly 5 years. 😅 I definitely have 2 sections for my closet: BFing friendly & not BFing friendly (they’re not packed away because I have more hanging closet space than boxed storage). For cooler weather, I definitely went all in to BFing specific sweaters - some are low-cut & I wear a nursing camisole under & some are the ones that have slits/flaps for boob access. Also, no more pull-over hoodies, every coat has to zip or button 😂
I'm still in postpartum (9.5 month old) and I didn't breastfeed (sadly) but I am still trying to dress my new body! It's been mostly leggings and tshirts. I did get one pair of mom jeans that I actually like, and a couple of dresses, but that's it! I have very little for summer, so that'll be interesting :D
Not due to pregnancy but I had to overhaul my wardrobe as well but thankfully managed to do it mostly secondhand. It's not easy trying to figure out what works with a body that is just different than you are used to. I think I've figured it out now for all seasons but it was definitely a pandemic process for me.
re: the "fumpy mom look" in the white polka dot dress, i think i understand what you mean, and if you were to get this tailored, i'd suggest taking it in at the waist, making it like 10-15cm shorter, and maybe shortening the sleeves a bit. without tailoring, i think it would benefit hugely from a colorful belt around the natural waist (aka the thinnest part of the torso, maybe 5-10cm down from where the dress's belt is). the way this dress is cut is basically "kimono top + straight gathered tubeon the bottom" which tends to not be flattering on anyone who has bigger boobs, stomach, or hips. (i speak from personal experience). "kimono" in this case means there is no seam between the torso bits and the sleeves, which means the extra material tends to gather on the sides of the boobs when the arms are down. i think that's the biggest contriubutor to the "fumpy look" (and the too-high waist), but maybe if you rolled up the sleeves a bit (so they're less aligned with the level of your boobs) and accessorized with something colorful, that would distract from the silhouette. just a thought! as for the blue dress, it seems a bit short for you? or at least shorter than you typically tend to wear. the thinness of the material and the way it falls almost makes it look more like a nightshirt than a going-out garmernt? maybe it could fulfil that purpose. i could also see it being a very good top if it was even shorter. then again, sometimes you just don't like something and there's no need to force it. the mustard blazer tho, that looks amazing and very "business-like". i think summer weather just hasn't been conducive to layers, but definitely keep this one in mind in autumn, perhaps you'll discover you have space in your wardrobe for "cute little cardi-blazer-jackety things like this" after all!
I also didn't know what to do when it came to BF in the colder months. In the end, I mostly just wore my BF friendly summer outfits but threw a wooly jumper on top which I would just push up.
maybe you could do a video of trying on your clothes to see which would be good for autumn and breastfeeding? like i think you had a video or a part of a video where you tried out all your clothes to see which ones fit while you were pregnant?
With the denim colour leaking... I think soaking it in salt water is supposed to help or including some vinegar in the water next time you wash it. Not sure why but it's meant to help stop the dye from leaking
ditto. I think the surplice cut of the blue one was perfect for the boobs - flattered w/out accentuating. didn't get a frump vibe from the polka dots either
Don't worry about the stuff you don't really like. You can use it for days when you are around the house and needing some quick lounge clothes. You also could use them around the house when Rowan is having gross stuff come out of all parts of his body so you don't ruin good clothes with that. Scraps for rags depending on the material, the possibilities are endless!
I would think a cropped sweater/jumper on top of a slim fitting nursing vest or -long-sleeve would work for autumn-winter. Lift up the crop, pull down/aside the nursing shirt... High waisted bottoms of course😊 Personally I dislike the "super-cropped" thing that is basically just sleeves, but that would leave whatever nursing outfit underneath VERY accessible😂
Sort of see what you mean about the spotty dress, it should be so cute...maybe getting slight hospital gown vibes because of the neckline combined with it being white? Could just be me thinking that. Maybe try a belt to make it look like a more deliberate outfit??
Love the polka dot dress. But maybe it’s the length that’s putting you off? Like maybe if it was a tad longer or a tad shorter dunno. But it looks nice anyway
This was so joyful! I'd love an autumn/winter version if you're interested in filming one

Take a drink every time Hannah says 'whack a tit out' or variation thereof 😂
Omg I just commented the exact same thing and then read your comment!! Good minds 😂
It's definitely hilarious.
Came here to say this!!! 😂
YES to the autumn version. Loving all of this mommy content (despite the fact that I'm counting on never being pregnant 😂)
I’m surprised you didn’t like the blue dress, it looks absolutely stunning on you! A new lifestyle often needs a new wardrobe. Don't feel guilty. The dancing montage made my day. 😁
Well said 👏
YES AUTUMN WINTER UPDATE!
Also latched mama is a great brand year round for many personal styles but very practical
I 100% got myself a new wardrobe for breastfeeding in. With my first kid I feel like I didn't go all in because I wanted to be economical and practical and yadda yadda. I love that your found your fashion/body size doppelgänger online! And they even had your color scheme! 🧡
I’ve got to say you look AMAZING in that blazer!!
Pretty sure when Jessie & Claud talked about some clothes from JoJo Maman Bebe they said it the same way 😆
That yellow cropped cardi/jacket thing looks really good on you…hopefully you’ll get some good wear out of it now the weather is starting to turn!
Would love to see the winter version too! Not sure it's your vibe but if it were me, I'd try layering your breastfeeding dresses with an oversized button up cropped cardigan, or cropped jumper :)
yes please do a Autumn/ Winter version .
I totally get that you get the frumpy vibes from that dress, I've often felt similar in h&m dresses. After I while I realized it is because the fabric is so thin and the shape a bit odd that it comes across as a hospital gown.
I didn’t want to be rude but the pattern paired with that color was giving dressing gown/hospital gown 😬
I agree, I think the way the top section of that dress is makes the top of the body look very wide. None of the other outfits gave that impression.
I think the white polka dot dress would look so cute with your yellow cardigan or some colorful jumper over the top for the autumn!
Definitely do winter and fall clothing videos thanks Hannah xoxo 😚 👻🎃🍂🍂🍂🍃🎃👻👻🍃🍂🍂🍂🍃🎃🍁🍁👻🎃🍃🍂🍂🍂🍃👻👻🎃🍃🍂🍂🍃🎃👻👻👻🎃🍃🍂🍂🍂🍃🎃🎃👻👻👻🍃🍂🍂🍂🍂🍃🎃👻👻👻👻🎃🍃🍃🍃
The blue dress is so cute on you. It's so ok that you don't love it, but I do think it's flattering! The v neck rocks on you.
Fun! An autumn/winter one as well please 💜
Would love an Autumn/Winter video 😊
For fall and winter i Highly recommend nursing tanks under oversized sweaters, cardigans or sweatshirts. It's super simple to lift and feed.... the top acts like a nice nursing cover and your belly is still covered by the nursing tank underneath. Stretchy v-neck long sleeve shirts are good too.
OMG the fashion show music is one of my favourite titles ever :0
Swagger stagger from Lucas Pittman, if anyone is looking for it, it is soooooo great!
I think the white dress with black looks dots looks really cute on you! I agree with you that the blue short dress is not my fav but only one regret in a haul is not bad! I'd love to see your autumn/winter version of this too. ☺️
I love the fun happy dance montage at the end!! 🥰
Your music montage fashion show brought a lot of joy. I loved your smile and excitement when you wore something you felt good in. Thanks for sharing!
Hannah that denim jumpsuit is to die for!
YES. 11 weeks postpartum now and have been going through my clothes. Was able to get two of my fav long flowy dresses modified with a zipper down the front or sides so yay boob access. Thanks for your advice! I’m 40 weeks pregnant and we’re in spring at the moment, so these suggestions were ideal 🙌🏻🥰 I’m hopping onto depop right now…
All very cute! I think the polka dot dress might benefit from a black belt or sash? On the other hand, I really like the light blue dress that's also not your favorite. Like I said, cute!
This is such a fun video! Would definitely enjoy watching an autumn/winter version as well :D
I found a breastfeeding hoodie was great for keeping warm in Autumn whilst feeding. Juno Jacks is a great brand.
loved this! yes please do a fall/winter BF outfit video! i’m in need of a new wardrobe too!
Having to figure out a new wardrobe myself now. Had my baby at 32 weeks and she’s in the NICU, which means we’re doing daily skin to skin time and I’m having to pump 8-10 times a day. Yellow is a strong color. However, it is suitable to wear with the other primary colors or colors that are like unto it. Happy experimenting
Love those blue shorts - will have to remember lucy & yak next time I need a new pair, my current faves are from uniqlo
I NNEEEDDD an autumn/ winter breastfeeding wardrobe because I am lost!
Omg those trousers! They are incredible!!!
Lol I love how neither you nor the Kellgren-Fozards have any idea how to pronounce the brand of your blue floral dress. :P It’s great.
Pretty impressive considering that they were all purchased online and worked so well!!
Please do a fall winter addition!! Our babes are only a month apart so I'm in the same boat around the same time as you haha
When you talked about your green alexa trousers you set off my alexa device lol
With my first child, I quickly decided I preferred top + trousers/skirt (instead of a dress) when breastfeeding for access and style reasons. Just had my second baby and it's the same this time. Pre-pregnancy, I liked elasticated high-waisted pants and thankfully these were just as comfortable post-partum!
You should get the polka dot dressed hemmed! A slightly shorter hemline might help it not feel so “frumpy”!
To prevent your overalls from bleeding dye. Just wash it in vinegar and add 1/4 cup salt to your wash water. It should stop it from bleeding next time you wash your clothes
Please do another for winter!
Was thinking earlier today I haven't seen a good fashion video from your lovely self in a while. Very good timing.
I'm keen on the autumn/winter version of this video!
This is such perfect timing thank you!!
Having just had my first baby last week, and being in New Zealand we are heading into summer so this is ideal 😊
Ooooo I needed this❤ my fashion has been BORING postpartum 😅
Winter is amazing for breastfeeding because a cami + giant (button-up or open-front) oversized jumper with sleeves is perfect for autumn anyway. Cami can pull down or lift up. Sweater offers some coverage.
Absolutely love the little blue dress, surprised you don’t like it! Always love your fashion videos, I’m not much of a clothes shopper either so I’ll live vicariously lol
Bloody nailing the Cool New Mum look!!
A very fun video indeed. Need more. Loads more. 🌼
i love the blue dress on you! greek goddess vibes 😍
Love this!! Have you by any chance tried different nursing bras? I'm curious which ones are actually good for bigger chests!
The struggle is real!!!
hannah! bright yellow goes with allll of your clothes!! but the green pants looks great :)
If you do an autumn/winter version of this video you should definitely see if you can get sponsored by Vinted to do it!
The polka dor dress reminds me a bit of a hospital gown!
You’re so cute, seeing the dancing montage at the end made me giggle
Thanks
This is such a fun video!!!
an autumn/winter version would be cool! although maybe it's just everything you wore during summer just with some leggings and a cardigan
re: the "fumpy mom look" in the white polka dot dress, i think i understand what you mean, and if you were to get this tailored, i'd suggest taking it in at the waist, making it like 10-15cm shorter, and maybe shortening the sleeves a bit. without tailoring, i think it would benefit hugely from a colorful belt around the natural waist (aka the thinnest part of the torso, maybe 5-10cm down from where the dress's belt is). the way this dress is cut is basically "kimono top + straight gathered tubeon the bottom" which tends to not be flattering on anyone who has bigger boobs, stomach, or hips.
Soak in water with vinegar in a bucket or something against the colour leaking before the first (or whenever you learn about the trick) wash :)
I think I exclusively shop at 2 am on an impuls buy feeling 😀
I do love the blue dress 🤩
11:20 I most certainly agree in the most appropriate way. 😍👍🏽
Love the way you say Jojo Maman bebe :))
Outside perspective, I think those dresses you don’t like still good on you.
Where is that amazing denim short romper from????
There's something you add to the water when doing tie dye that stops the dye from running in the wash - could you use some of that on your dungarees?
Very much a fun video 😊
The 2am shopping sprees while breastfeeding are so real!
My pal swears by stretchy wrap jumpers and cheap stretchy vests under it. Also layers! Lots of cardigans and scarves keeps you warm but also movable
Love the polka dot dress. But maybe it’s the length that’s putting you off? Like maybe if it was a tad longer or a tad shorter dunno. But it looks nice anyway
Doing this now 😊 …had a baby almost 7 weeks ago (so another April baby 😊) and having to do the exact same thing …have hardly any bf friendly clothes x
