Very refreshing design! The Koreans made huge steps forward.
I have 2 years left on my current Cadenza lease in USA..You have 2 years to convince KIA to start selling the K8 in North America now that they redesigned it . Good luck sir...
Man that's one hell of a looker. Love the coherent use of that diamond design everywhere on the car, inside out especially the front DRL/signal indicator seamlessly infused with the unique grill design. Very innovative and bold design, kudos Kia. But the best part I think is the interior. The wide curve screen that sits on the full length wood panel is beautiful. And when you turn on the ambient lighting, it looks so aesthetically pleasing. Used to be not a big fan of ambient lighting in car because it can get distracting especially in many modern Mercedes but this one has very well appointed, humble but creative implementation. This K8 along with Grandeur will definitely give more expensive premium sedans a well run for the money imo.
@@ZapFlashD But now that they aren't selling the Cadenza or K900 in the U.S., there's still hope that for 2022 they'll add back some features (digital instrument cluster, rotary shifter, etc.) for us along with the new logo...

Another Well Done presentation. This K-8 is no joke. Kia has come such a long, long way in America the last 25 years or so. Hope this car makes it here.

This is a beautiful car. Kia and Hyundai are absolutely killing in the design department. Combine that with an industry leading warranty and you’ve got a winner. There was a time when I wouldn’t even look at a KIA. Not anymore. Well done. Great review as always!
Thanks for the first look Charlie! But this is not the first Hyundai/Kia fwd sedan platform to offer awd. In North America, the Sonata and K5 both have awd option. Wish we got it!
In America 2022 Kia Carnivale and Kia Stinger have also received the new Kia logo. Very interesting global roll out of corporate identity and new products. 🤔

Didn't like the car at first but in any color besides white it hides that grille far better and now that I see what they were going for, the whole 'frameless' incorporation, I can sort've appreciate it more. It's definitely unique. I love the back end too. Way sharper than original pictures were providing. This is a wildcard in the Kia lineup. Probably the most polarizing vehicle yet (also not sold on the EV6), but props on their originality and the class of the interior, wow. Definitely see why they felt the need to shed the name of K7. Kia K8. 😍Show👍🏼and👌🏼stands out favorably in favor.😉 I like it much. Hopefully the Kia K8 will soon be on sale widely in the European market, with a wide range of model with equipment package, engine, transmission and traction modes.🤔
What a stunning car; I am really becoming a huge fan of Kia and their new design language. I have a Stinger and am absolutely fanatic about it. My only hope is that as they take these cars more upmarket, that they change the dealerships and focus on elevating their dealership experience.
This car is really beautiful and feature packed! But in Korea, the fully loaded model is the same price as the base K9. Or a fully loaded Stinger. Hmmmm.....
The price point similarity to the Stinger may explain why KIA decided not to send the K8 to the US. I'm sure KIA hopes that the new 2.5L turbo 4 base engine in the Stinger will help cure its anemic sales in North America so the prospect of cannibalizing sales between the Stinger and the K8 is a risk I suspect KIA is unwilling to take. Further, so-called "Executive Sedans" are slow sellers in the US. Presumably the K8 would be up against the Avalon, the Maxima and the Chrysler 300 here and while none of those is a strong seller each is unlikely to be seriously threatened in sales by the K8. KIA and Hyundai do a remarkable job of slicing mainstream market segments into limited sub-segments that avoid cannibalizing sales of their vehicles by appealing to somewhat distinct demographics but it appears that both brands have determined that the upscale 4 door sedan market in the US isn't well served by the mainstream brands. KIA presumably is not interested in developing a separate luxury division/brand (e.g. Genesis) so models like the K8 (Cadenza) and K9 (K900) are the sacrificial lambs in North America.
surprisingly its looks better than the new Hyundai Azera. Usually, KIA produces a lineup of vehicles that comes with fewer features and specifications.
I think they should have kept this for the US, it seems more premium now and that in addition to the AWD I think it would attract more buyers here especially at those prices.
