As always, I appreciate the "Tech Master" Metts and Rick "Corvette" Conti, tech Tuesday Vlogs. The time and energy it takes, just wanted you both to know, millions of viewers sure appreciate your time and efforts!
Thanks we appreciate that - I enjoy the time with Chuck I feels great to talk cars but right now he and I under the retail pressure cooker so it’s not as easy as we wish it would be…. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel
Wow. I actually got in _before_ Margaret posts her twenty plus comments on every video. Stay classy my friends. *BTW, the volume seems slightly better gents. *EDITED for forgetfulness.
Mr. Conti and Chuck are always very informative on the Tech Tuesdays vlogs!! Don't hurt that new C8 HTC 2.0!! Rick,,Stop Dreaming and Start Driving!!👍🏽
Thanks Rick and Chuck great video I love watching tech Tuesday I purchase my corvette last year in August a C7 and I love it hope to meet both you guys one day Thanks and keep up great work
Rick Question #1. I have the rear brake air ducts on because I frequently track my car. However the car is so low it is a pain to get under the car unless I bring a floor jack to the track. Also it's extremely hot under there. Is there any easier way to remove those air dams. I know I'm whining & this is the price you pay to enjoy the track. So far I have not had any issues with debri as I have left them on for over a year. I don't trailer my C8, therefore not much space for track equipment & over night luggage for a few days. Just whining. Thanks. I'll also submit this for Tech Tuesday as well Question #2 What is the impact wrench or blog you were referring to in this video?
Z06 is a dry sump system. It would seem you’d have to run the engine to fully fill the system. Just as you never fill non dry sump all the way (leave it one quart low) and run the engine before filling it to capacity, it would seem the sump system on a dry sump engine would need to take (2 quarts?) the oil into the sump system. I could be wrong and haven’t read the Z06 manual….
Interested to know if the bottom of the brake ducts can be put on without having to jack the car up at the racetrack??? Does the dealership carry hi-temp brake fluid or something I as the customer need to supply?
I have the trident wheels on my 2021 and the 22mm socket does not fit the lug nuts. A 23mm fits but is a little loose. Are you certain the 22 mm is correct?
I used the factory lug nuts on my set of Aerolarri wheels with the paragon stud extenders to take the wheels off and on. You do have to use a 12 point socket and so far no damage on the caps or wheels but I'm stupid careful when im doing this.
Hey Rick!... Here is an off the wall question for you. Is there any generation of Corvette you have not yet driven, or have you driven them all? Also. I can't wait to drive the 555 with you again but this time in October fall foliage.
I have had a trailer hitch on my C6 for a number of years it has a 2000 lb capacity. I have used it to haul my golf cart and segway and other small traliers
Need the channels advice. I have a 190 day old 2LZ Z06 orange with 5 miles on it. I was going to offer it for sale at a reasonable price in lieu of the markup I paid. Now the market is getting weird. Should I keep it at 5 miles and sell it or bag it and drive it...the 3rd option is don't drive it for 10 years and Barrett Jackson it for a million. Thanks Conti crew.
As someone who has been attending Barrett-Jackson for the past twenty something years. I recommend the third option without hesitation. There are several 'modern collectables' currently for sale that will garner some _tremendous_ prices when they eventually roll across the auction block. I would name a few but I'm being selfish this time and keeping that insider info to myself. However, I will give you and the viewers a small hint. Focus on cars with a V8 and/or manual transmission. They are a dying breed and will be highly coveted in the near future when everything has gone full digital wizardry. I look forward to meeting you in the next ten years or so if you should happen to remember this moment. Stay classy my friend.
RICK & CHUCK What do you think about the CARBON FIBER WHEELS? Should builds include them if to be used on TRACK CARS &/or as DAILY DRIVERS? Bought only if for Static Displays, Collector Cars, you have deep pockets….. Since Carbon Fiber Wheels are so expensive, can easily be damaged in use, need to be changed frequently with hard Track Use, Hard to find a dealership or Tire Shop that will work on Corvette Carbon Fiber Wheels and/or change them, and to buy replacements at roughly $20,000, why would anyone want them?
My 2022 H T.C. z51 breaks squeaks dealership put new pads at 6000 miles and still does it News feed from corvett says all z51s will do it at some point its bull
I feel much better, I got my comic relief from Frick and Frack hahah. Thanks guys great video again and it was also seeing my car on your video. Much appreciated.
@@RickCorvetteConti thanks Rick. I think it is another fail on part of Chevy. Heck add to price of car whatever as my baby will be rockin. Hope you can locate me some ERay all seasons that will fit on Z06. It will be best purchase. Loved seeing the all seasons on your car!
Hi Ric, love the vids. Can you help me? I have a 2023 C8 with 2,400mi and just had my first oil change. They informed me that I need a new transmission. I’m devastated! What can I do or what should I do? I feel like my car has been crashed
Can’t thank YOU enjoy for them damn they feel great but no autocross on those pups …I am saving my bills and not sure what Chuck is doing - very special , classy and cool
Just saw the ZO6 for sale at 50K over. Typical dealer bullshit. Hope this sits. No car worth this number. MSRP means manufacture recommends the price to sell at.

Love corvette tech Tuesday ,Keep up the good work, Thanks
Chuck hit the nail on the head, but then we are all kids when it comes to Corvette!
You should do a tech Tuesday at racetrack and take Chuck there. First of all he does a lot and it would be hilarious to see him driving the Z06
Haven’t even watched the video yet…and I love it. You never disappoint!
Thanks for the confidence 👊
Thanks, again, guys!
Man do I look forward to Tech Tuesday

Great reminder on the DCT filter changes! We are almost at 7K miles so the oil and DCT filter change are just around the corner!
Oh yes might as well do your first service sir - keep enjoying it

Hey Rick, check your spelling of footage for a typo at 17:27.

You can not stress enough about oil changes and DCT filters. These are the life blood of the engine and transmission. You guys have too much fun.
I had a 78 Corvette and a loud clunking noise was coming from bad brake calipers.
Are we gonna talk about Chuck’s wife having a Ford and not a Chevy?! 🤨😏😉😂😂😂
I have the trident wheels on my 2021 and the 22mm socket does not fit the lug nuts. A 23mm fits but is a little loose. Are you certain the 22 mm is correct?
Yes use 22 all the time

Shoulda come to hot rod power tour
Love those aftermarket wheels. What is the brand and model? Are they factory size 19"-20" or 20"-21" ?
Thanks for the info. Chuck was on a roll. Funniest I seen him in a while. Build a bear projects took the humor out of him I guess 😀

@@BertShackleford thanks Bert. I'm leaning that way. With the death of ICE cars and V8's I'm thinking the car will be worth more in 10 yrs.
Great info again guys
?. Does the ZO6 have the same brake ducts to add on the car for the track.
Timber or Timer, either way, great looking car!
Thanks for the Tech Tuesday Chuck!

I understand that Chevy added the extra 2 quarts of transmission fluid but did they put in high temp brake fluid? Inquiring minds need to know
For Z06 yes extra trans fluid in from the factory - brake fluid no - only needed for Serious high speed driving

Please Rick, do not put a trailer hitch on your Corvette, please.
That’s as big a felony as putting ketchup on a hot dog…DON’T DO IT Rick 🙏🏻
Those all seasons lookin good Rick! Hi to Chuck. What did he ever do with the $2 bills?
Can’t thank YOU enjoy for them damn they feel great but no autocross on those pups …I am saving my bills and not sure what Chuck is doing - very special , classy and cool

no no no no trailer, get your suv and buy a trailer to haul it to the track lol...
