I will be adding items to my store all the time and all proceeds go right back into the channel! Part 1 in a new series showing what I like to do with the trailfinder 2 suspension.
Great idea on shock hopes I'm going do that soon !! Thanks Josh,, great video too👍
Josh...check out the O-rings modification. It's putting O-rings above and below the leaf-springs with long 3mm bolts coming up from the bottom of the axle with a nylon locknuts on top securing the leaf-springs on.
Checkout Trailfinder 2 Rc4wd Facebook page.
+Madeline Lucas Im in that facebook group too. Ill look into the o-ring mod more. A couple others have been telling me about it as well. Thanks!
RC Everyday Cool. Love the way your trucks coming out. Just did the O-ring mod but haven't driven it yet. I just posted on there about that mod. It's under Tommad.
Tom
Sweet so you ran the Gelande 2 hoop with the stock 70mm front shocks and it gave you more articulation and it lowered it a bit? That’s kinda what I’d like, it’s sitting a bit high and flexes little
Just a guess but - Now the leaf spring is mounted Above the rear Axial, Can you mount the spring under the axial ( reverse the mount ) it would drop the rear ? 1/2 inch ? And eliminate any contact with the Axial. LOL Did i just say that ? Nice trucks.
Can you flip the axel ? The shock mounts well be on top? I know this an old video, but it’s a good video. can we get an update on where it is now. , please.?
hi see the truck you was having problems with hitting rear leafs.. if you flip that rear axle the shocks will bolt to it at top instead of low
Thanks for the video this should fix the lack of flex on trail finder 2 that is 3 link on the front and 4 on the rear.
Keeping the stock 70s with the new shock hoops increases up travel but do you lose down travel?
Not enough to worry about IMO. The 70’s are so cramped in stock configuration
love the robo intro/outro
Cool I'll try this on my TF2 😁
Do you use the Gelande ii shock hoops for the front and rear? I noticed online the gelande ii rears are different.
Just the fronts. The rear tf2 angle inward to keep them below the bed floor. They can easily be adjusted to flex to match the fronts.
What wheels and tires are you using?
Rc4wd 1.55 steel wheels on their Mickey Thompson Baja claw mtz tires
Stock plastic axial shock hoops are a direct bolt on and are taller then stock Rc4wd
Odd question, does the axial scx10 2 shock hoops work on trail finder 2? Looking for a good adjustable shock hoop for the front shocks for my blazer build
Not exactly. You would have to drill some new mounting holes and makes sure they don’t interfere with the servo or engine up front
@@RCeveryday what about the first gen scx10? May just wait for the gelande hoops
It’s like trying to put a Ford water pump on a Chevy engine. Axial parts are designed for the c-channel chassis and thread into plastic crossmembers. Rc4wd parts are made to go from aluminum to threaded aluminum. It could be done don’t get me wrong. But it might be more trouble than it’s worth
@@RCeveryday alright thanks for the info, I'll just wait for the gelande hoops to be back in stock.
Where did you get that front bumper on there yoga at?
no idea, have had it for a decade. One of those late night online orders.
you have more upward travel but less droop. doesn't matter with leafs but with links it would
Yeah. No. These hoops make a world of difference with articulation. On leafs.
Can someone link me to all the stuff he bought.
Hey .. im a fans of yout truck.. can you show me how to paint them such..
My friend I have tons of videos on this channel showing my
Techniques for painting.
@@RCeveryday oh.. 😂 im sory.. i just into this Rc hobby thing.. and i find your work.. its amazing..
What wheels are those?
Those are the rc4wd 1.55 wagon wheels. They come on every TF2. Full beadlock
cool!
