Cervical Lateral Flexion ROM

Cervical Lateral Flexion ROM: Position the patient seated in a stable chair. Using a goniometer, place the fulcrum over the C7 vertebra with the proximal end perpendicular to the ground, or straight up towards the ceiling and the distal following the patient's motion. Actively, have the patient drop their ear towards the shoulder on the same side and record the reading in degrees. In addition, you will note any pain or difficulty present on the recording sheet.
