Thank you, yeah sometimes it shocks me that I have my Skeeter 😁 I have tried to pick up a second one & they are impossible to find anymore. Luckily I was around when these were still in production.
Hey bro love your work. Just started my DRZ V2 LE build. When putting the steering crank onto the post, the manual shows a brass spacer over the steel collar. Does this spacer need to go under the collar? The collar can’t go into the crank otherwise. Keep up the builds bro 🔥
Hi, love your collection. You mention a forum for mini drifters could you provide a link please? I've had a DrZ v1 for years but have a problem where on full lock it lifts one of the wheels off the floor so hoping someone will know how to resolve this. Cheers Chris
Hey Chris, I think what you are referring to is the Facebook groups. I cant link you since I delete my Facebook & left the groups a couple months ago but you can find them by searching easy enough. regarding your lifting issue, this is very common & 9/10 times the issue is actually coming from the read due to a binding issue. What you need to do is uninstall your tires/rims in the back, unhook the linkages & pull the swing arm out (that way there is as little weight on the rear arm as possible). Then test the arms, check for ANY sticking points & address it. Then put the linkages back on & check again for ANY sticking point, linkages are the most common sticking point & you can easily message the ball heads to loosen them up. once you have addressed the rear end & guaranteed there are no sticking point it *SHOULD be good. However if the lifting persist then its time to check the front end for any sticking points. If your front end is clean & nothing is sticking then the wheel or opposite wheel is most likely making contact with the shock or something & that's causing the binding. Let me know if this helps & good luck!!
@@BMR3 thanks for the comprehensive response. I followed Beavers video years ago and made sure there was no sticking but I'll go over it again. It's weird as on full lock one of the front wheels comes up and thr opposite rear wheel lifts too... Can you remember the name of the Facebook group? Cheers again
@@derz1978 if both wheels are lifting it could be the suspension post & tube. Did you check to make sure the suspension was buttery smooth too? It’s crazy how sensitive these tiny cars are
@@BMR3 I finally figured it out!! I had to file some of the steering aseembly block and linkage arms as they were fouling on each other at full lock, thus not being able to return cleanly. Now to learn how to slide!!! Now if I could only find a front BM racing set up 😉
It’s called a Hale RC high motor mount conversion kit for the original DRZ. They are super rare tho, if you want one I recommend hitting up Chan RC since he will search the obscure Asian markets. Happy hunting brother!

@@driftrc8061 ah that’s the worst, you might be able to make due with springs from a pen. If they are too strong you can always cut a few coils. At least that way you can avoid paying $15+ for a stupid spring pack.
you weren't wrong sir. just waiting on my mini z cant wait and cant stop watching
Bahahaha yes! But that’s the best part 😉 these little buggers are highly addictive & worth every penny IMO.
Man I'm so jealous of that skeeter great collection of chassis
