Hi! What is the best way to document the daily scrum meetings? To check the summary or progress of each devs/employees.

Hi @venedimeilacson6216, great question! The best way to document daily scrum meetings is to keep it simple yet informative. We recommend using a shared digital tool like Jira, Trello, or Asana, where each team member can update their progress. This allows everyone to see the summary and progress at a glance. It's also helpful to briefly note key points discussed, any impediments, and action items for the next day. Remember, the goal is to enhance communication and transparency without creating excessive documentation. Hope this helps, and if you have more questions, feel free to ask!

    What did I do yesterday?
    What will I do today?
    Are there any impediments?
Isn't this "status update meeting"? You are just updating the status of your work. What is the difference?

There is no fix agenda. There is no need to answer those questions. Official Scrum guide doesn't mention any of that.

Yes, she's wrong, you don't have to answer these questions at all, they are there only to help you when your meeting is not dynamic and sufficient on its own

Dear Nithin, thank you for your question. Yes, a Daily Scrum can also be considered a status update meeting, as it provides a way for team members to quickly update each other on the progress of their work. The key difference between a Daily Scrum and a typical status update meeting is the focus on collaboration and teamwork. The Daily Scrum is specifically designed to help teams work together more effectively and identify and resolve issues more quickly.
In a status update meeting, the focus may be more on individual progress and reporting, while in a Daily Scrum the emphasis is on creating a space for open and transparent communication and collaboration. The format of the Daily Scrum, with its specific questions and time constraints, is designed to keep the meeting focused, efficient, and effective.

Dear @@matuspekar5159, as discussed in the video, the questions asked during a Daily Scrum are there to help guide the discussion, but team members are not required to provide answers to all of them. The goal of a Daily Scrum is to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members, and if a team member feels that they don't need to answer all of the questions or that a different format would be more effective, they should feel free to bring this up during the meeting.
The Daily Scrum is meant to be flexible and adaptable to the specific needs and goals of a team. It's important to find what works best for your team, and to make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the meeting is productive and beneficial for everyone involved.
