If you compare him to the Japanese Ed's, you can tell he's still trying to figure the character out. It doesn't look natural or smooth for him yet. However, I give him props because he is trying to incorporate more of Ed's moveset than any other Ed player I've seen.
SF6 Ed is entirely different from his SFV iteration. There's little to no similarity, and he's (ironically) one of the hardest characters to play in the game rn. EW (and every other Ed mains in SFV) have to accept that this is no longer the same character game play wise, and they need to adapt. I trust EW got it tho, and I am looking forward to see the Ed god shine again
I thought that a few days ago, but he's been labbing this like crazy. 1775+ MR is not "trying to figure out" anything. He's done it. I think 1800 MR is Ultimate Grand Master in SF6. 1900 is Warlord. Well done EW.
@@d.wu07 He started doing the motion at almost the same moment that blanka started glowing, which is impossible to be a reaction. He's already buffering SA3, the reaction part is pressing the punch button, which even your grandparents can do, if they are healthy.
I was learning Ed through playing his story in arcade mode on the hardest difficulty. Most of his moveset I got through guesswork and experimentation and I honestly felt quite comfortable using him as a Ryu main. His command grab and boxer step are great spacing tools on account of how unpredictable they are and you can get some brilliant results from his target combos as they link well into specials, overdrives and supers. Only character I couldn't beat by conventional means using him in arcade mode was level 8 CPU JP as I would get corner locked regularly by his ranged attacks and couldn't use my own ranged attacks to pressure him or use block and parry well enough to close the distance. Ended up resorting to spamming his side switch move and forward throw to win in the end.
Yeah, they changed him so much he might as well be a totally new character. He's just not Ed anymore. If you want to be good with him, he takes dedicated practice as a lot of muscle memory from other characters or Ed from SF5 will only be problem to overcome picking up the new playstyle.
Its called buffering, he is doing the motion inputs cause he knows his opponent is going to do a punishable move, so when they do, he is ready and just needs to press the punch button
@@butteredtoast3032 thx! Can i ask a quetion that 2:33 he hold → and immediately input ca3 is any tip for more speed? i use holding ← or → then 23 23 twitce
There is not tip for doing it faster unless you re buffering the motion inputs already instead of holding back, he was holding back but he knew the opponent was going to blanka ball, so he reacted to it
It must be high pressure when everyone expects you to be the best Ed right at release...
And guess what?!he might be👀
Not at all
He’ll be ight
I think you care more than he does, he's probably just happy that Ed is on sf6 and enjoying the character
It's not even remotely the same character. So anyone that knows anything about this game doesent expect it.
Ending Walker as Ed. Feels like old times 😂
Rip akira toriyama😔😔

Would nice if dieminion came back...he played ed like a boxer in sf5 long before ending walker came around...
Hes playing ten times faster than any of them already. This is the most offensive ed gameplay I've ever seen since his release

02:32 his reactions are crazy

One thing I've learned is that Manon in Costume 2 is hard to tell when she's crouching... So many whiffed HKs.
feels like ed is going to be inbetween mid to low tier
Just like everyone thought oil king would kill with Rashid, now everyone thought EW would kill with Ed. Patience everyone.
damn the reaction timings are insane

Good to see Jimmy in there✌🏾
I’m finding Ed so difficult to learn lol ima have to really dedicate some serious time to the character

obviously there was something wrong with me when I said that kakeru was the best ED
Finalmente o Ending usando o seu boneco
Sippin Leandro
Nephew have good Ed
May be i'm mad, but isnt he using like alot more flickers than other Ed players?
yes he is, and i love it
what is the name of the last stage? want it as a laptop background wallpaper
Well...pc enfing walker is not who you thought 😅

Could def be abusing snatcher more.
Ed has BIG damage
It's okay

Yeah not really lol
Whoa! MDZJimmy put up a fight, Walker had to cheese him with Ed pokes.
if you are not poking you are playing Ed wrong
Using pokes is cheese now?
