    It must be high pressure when everyone expects you to be the best Ed right at release...

    If you compare him to the Japanese Ed's, you can tell he's still trying to figure the character out. It doesn't look natural or smooth for him yet. However, I give him props because he is trying to incorporate more of Ed's moveset than any other Ed player I've seen.

      SF6 Ed is entirely different from his SFV iteration. There's little to no similarity, and he's (ironically) one of the hardest characters to play in the game rn. EW (and every other Ed mains in SFV) have to accept that this is no longer the same character game play wise, and they need to adapt. I trust EW got it tho, and I am looking forward to see the Ed god shine again

      I thought that a few days ago, but he's been labbing this like crazy. 1775+ MR is not "trying to figure out" anything. He's done it. I think 1800 MR is Ultimate Grand Master in SF6. 1900 is Warlord. Well done EW.

    I was learning Ed through playing his story in arcade mode on the hardest difficulty. Most of his moveset I got through guesswork and experimentation and I honestly felt quite comfortable using him as a Ryu main.
    His command grab and boxer step are great spacing tools on account of how unpredictable they are and you can get some brilliant results from his target combos as they link well into specials, overdrives and supers.
    Only character I couldn't beat by conventional means using him in arcade mode was level 8 CPU JP as I would get corner locked regularly by his ranged attacks and couldn't use my own ranged attacks to pressure him or use block and parry well enough to close the distance. Ended up resorting to spamming his side switch move and forward throw to win in the end.

    • @EDarien
      @EDarien 8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, they changed him so much he might as well be a totally new character. He's just not Ed anymore. If you want to be good with him, he takes dedicated practice as a lot of muscle memory from other characters or Ed from SF5 will only be problem to overcome picking up the new playstyle.
