I don't understand how Not What He seems is not on the list. That was such a game changer episode and it had THE moment when it was revealed who the Author of the journals was. The Inconveniencing is one of my personal favorite episodes but I wouldn't go so far to say it was #1 but that's just me.
I'd personally add Not What He Seems as #1 because that episode is like the pinnesacle (get it? pinnacle but with pines?) of the series. The biggest mystery of the whole show, the author of the journals, is resolved in the most epic way possible and even then, it still has the perfect mix between seriousness and sillyness. Not to mention it's super emotional.

my favorite is definitely Northwest Mansion Mystery/Northwest Mansion Noir (as it was originally titled) because it showcases how the main characters aren't invincible by fulfilling the Shape-shifter's last words, it has a lot of dark themes with blood pouring out from the taxidermy and the people there in mortal danger of being burned alive, still managed to have a lot of funny moments like with the Fondue and Ghostbusters parody, put in a lot of emotion with Dipifica, parental over controlling, and ghostly justice by Pacifica changing the norm, and it also set up Wierdmaggedon and Not What He Seems expertly with the ending. All around, it made me feel, laugh, and build excitement for the coming episodes, that's why it had such a powerful effect on me.
My fav episodes are Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future, Northwest Mansion Noir, and Not What He seems (in that order)- but still plenty of my other favs on this list :)
I actually loved the episode when Melody and Giffany were introduced (i forgot the name). I don't know, I just really like it since it pokes fun at bits and pieces of anime, otome games, and yanderes.

In My Opinon, The "Weirdmageddon" Arc and "Not What He Seems" are the best Gravity Falls episodes. "Weirdmageddon" because it was one big battle and just kickass at the least and the amount of crazyness that continously happens in the Arc is just mindblowing.PLUS, THAT BILL-LIFIED INTRO THO "Not What He Seems" because it was a very fast-fowarding and hype episode. What I mean by that is that, by watching the episode, It would instantly give you those "shivers" because of how shocking and epic it is. It also makes you continously wonder the truth about everything that is going on, which is what our beloved Gravity Falls does best.
How could you not include the last episode? Though it ended too soon, I wouldn't want such an amazing show to end any other way. Best episode in my opinion.
I really love Road Side Attraction, Summerween, Dungeons Dungeons And More Dungeons, The Love God, Soos And The Real Girl, Northwest Mansion Mystery, The Stanchurian Candidate and Little Gift shop Of Horrors. But really they are all great. This show is just so flipping amazing and Fight Fighters and Scary Okie I defiantly agree with. I wish they would just make another season of what they are all doing now lol or maybe even another summer but I can't see that happening with how well they tied everything up. But yea such an amazing show. Seriously one of my favorites and I can't wait for the Journals to come out.

Ok I get that this is just your opinion and I respect that, but I was really surprised that the inconveniencing was the top choice. It's one of my least favorites - I would have gone with Time Traveler's Pig - I mean, WADDLES! Never has there been such a pure character on the face of the planet. There's that, and the moral quandary Dipper faces when he has to choose between Wendy and Mabel. Plus, seeing the contrast when Dipper goes "Mabel, you'll forget about it in a day" and when he realizes that she won't was really interesting for me. Just my opinion, again, and I love your channel btw!

Dipper vs manliness was hilarious and had a Good message I think. However On my list of favorite eps you would certainly see "Not what he seems" as well as "The Northwest Mansion Mistery"
Soos and the Real Girl and Take Back the Falls are my favs. The former was an extraordinary depiction of a manipulatively abusive relationship (and a scary depiction at that) and the latter was the perfect ending; badass, heartwarming, heart//breaking//, and all around left me with a pleasant feeling of the arduous and epic journey's end.
There were definitely episodes I think are missing and I don't agree with, but one of my all time favorites, Sock Opera, was on there! However, it was for a different reason than me. You focused more on Mabel's side, the love, and for me, it's more Bipper and the jokes in the episode than that.
I'm surprised that "Now What He Seems" isn't on here! It's my very favorite because it's both the peak of the series' main mystery and a dramatic climax with the Pines family's drama. It's a very well-told episode that really shows off what the makers could do. Another favorite of mine is "Society of the Blind Eye". First of all, it actually explains why the people in the town don't notice anything, something that most mystery shows don't bother to talk about. Second, it really exemplifies the direction the show was taking, by showing that the comic character of McGucket actually had a very tragic backstory.

You know whats funny? Whats funny is that, like, in 2012, 2013, I said "You know what, I have a feeling the author will be related to the pines family. An uncle or brother to gruncle stan?" then BOOM its revealed a year or so later that the author IS Gruncle Stan's brother. Wow dem crazy things, and that is why Gravity Falls is a mystery show x3.

Nothing comes close to Not What He Seems. That episode was had a lot of suspense, horror, drama, comedy, mystery and all of the other elements that make the show so great. There were definitely episodes I think are missing and I don't agree with, but one of my all time favorites, Sock Opera, was on there! However, it was for a different reason than me. You focused more on Mabel's side, the love, and for me, it's more Bipper and the jokes in the episode than that.

My first episode of Gravity Falls I ever watched was the Inconveniencing! What a coincidence!
I'm surprised that "Now What He Seems" isn't on here! It's my very favorite because it's both the peak of the series' main mystery and a dramatic climax with the Pines family's drama. It's a very well-told episode that really shows off what the makers could do.
Another favorite of mine is "Society of the Blind Eye". First of all, it actually explains why the people in the town don't notice anything, something that most mystery shows don't bother to talk about. Second, it really exemplifies the direction the show was taking, by showing that the comic character of McGucket actually had a very tragic backstory.

What I mean is that it's fun to watch just in my free time. In times like those, the kind of non-storyline episodes can be fun to watch.

You know whats funny? Whats funny is that, like, in 2012, 2013, I said "You know what, I have a feeling the author will be related to the pines family. An uncle or brother to gruncle stan?" then BOOM its revealed a year or so later that the author IS Gruncle Stan's brother. Wow dem crazy things, and that is why Gravity Falls is a mystery show x3.

Really everyone thinks the inconveniencing shouldn't be number 1 but that the main episode that brought me to Gravity Falls and will always be number 1 to me because Gravity Falls was the best TV show on air easily
Nothing comes close to Not What He Seems. That episode was had a lot of suspense, horror, drama, comedy, mystery and all of the other elements that make the show so great. Not to mention it has the best animation in the series and proves that Gravity Falls can not only build up story arcs but also pay them off on a BIG way!
