    2. It's not modified glucose, glucose always has the R-CHO structure or can take that structure. Electricity can be produced in this way, but you'd have to separate the silver solution, or generally your oxidizer, from your glucose solution, or your reductant in general.

    1. Heat is naturally released due to oxidation just like we burn food by breathing.
    2. If modified glucose (R compound) releases electrons, then it must generate electricity too.
