Small but fully kitted out with everything a Robotech/Mospeada fan could want. A small but worthy incarnation of one of the most iconic mecha of all time.
I'm a big fan of Robotech and the Japanese series that comprised it. Yeah, the Cyclone uses a lot of anime magic to look good in both modes. This figure clearly shows show the bike is too small for the rider and most of these Mospeada toys struggle with that. I picked this one up for about $50. It's decent. I'll just leave him with the bike in armor mode as it looks too awkward with him riding it.
I just stumbled across your channel because I was looking up some old toys, and I know it's been like a decade, but if you still remember them, do you have a favorite switch and go dinos?
Brok of course, that is an amazing hunk of plastic. For the regular size, Horns is my favorite. Perfect showcase of the best aspects of the design approach they took.
If the Cyclone was in proper scale, the armor would be too bulky. It depends on how you show it. I’d definitely go for the armor look even if the bike scale was more accurate, it’s just cooler than sitting on a motorcycle.
@@MantisNineNines I had the Matchbox Cyclone as a kid. It looked cool, but obviously didn’t become armor. Unfortunately I didn’t have Scott Bernard to go with it, but I did have Rand. Proportionally it looked good with the 3 3/4 figure. I’m guessing that was 85 or 86.
I love how many different figures you have of this design. Definitely need to gather them all for a showcase video.
Thats a good idea… no idea how many cyclones i actually have. Several have duplicates even.
love your videos! ❤😊👍
Thank you for watching!
@@MantisNineNinesand thank you for making them! :)

@@sidearmsalpha Totally agree with you. I do like all the accessories and stuff it comes with.

You’re right about that. Tough to match that anime magic, especially in such a small scale.

I love that figure! Head could be better I guess but only up close does it even matter. Looks awesome in a display.
