Zoom plastic is bit more durable and stiff compares to the Deps Sakamata plastic, but personally i still prefer Deps Sakamata Shad the action more natural and fluid. Plus instead of mid-stroll rig; try the double fluke rig is more affected in my case. I used the 2.5 version for white bass this summer ... and my buddy call me crazy for using a expensive plastic just for white bass fishing 🤣😂😆
You also may wanna try a lighter head like 1/8 or less the action and glide will be way better for you in that 5" Version , 1/4 falls to fast in my opinion but to each there own, just a thought for you. The lighter the head you can use for whatever the size, the better the action
Great bait but difficult to find stock 🤷♂️ . Very lite weighted hooks works well for me around the grass and kill it over the holes and let it wiggle down
Your 5" Sakamata Shad is only 10% salt, all the original ones are lightly salted and the heavy weight version is more. You can find the exact info online

Thanks for the tip! I'll try a lighter head!
The softer plastic still has a natural action in the cold water

I didn’t know that. Thanks for letting me know!
